  1. You could at least change it back to the dude in the wheelchair.
  2. Excellent. Thanks BOF. I assume Reading away will be rearranged at some point as it clashes with the EFL trophy. Note that WBA away is at Telford and Wolves away is at Kiddy, its normally the other way round.
  3. My understanding is that all season ticket holders are entitled to a refund for the 6 games played behind closed doors at the end of the 2019-20 season. How you purchased your ticket will define how you received your refund. Those who paid by card or online received vouchers or got a refund via their card. Those who paid with cash in person at the ticket office may not have an online presence to get vouchers and cannot get a refund as the ticket office is closed. Can the club help these people out, as I suspect a lot of the cash buyers will loose out as there is deadline by which you can claim.
  4. Question about 2019-20 season ticket refunds. For those who bought their season ticket in person with cash haven’t been able to get to refunds as the ticket office has been closed. They therefore wouldn’t have vouchers. I assume it’s a case of waiting for the ticket office to reopen for them to go in person to get their refund? Are there any alteratives for them? On a personal note, when the programme editors add the Youth Cup winners 2021 to the honour list on the opening page, can they please add the Youth Cup runner up dates as well please. Does my OCD no good when the programme lists the FA Cup & League Cup runner up years only!
  5. Renewed today online, was easier than expected and didn't have to upload a pic. I used my vouchers aswell, so I think its probably the cheapest season ticket I've paid for in over ten years. Which was nice.
  6. The player released names are out; Farr & H Sohna the only real shocks : https://www.premierleague.com/news/2163104
  7. This week had a phone call from the doctors, was booked in the next day and had my jab. Having bum aids has its advantages it seems. So that’s me and both my parents first jabs done. Its all very exciting.
  8. If you check the OS, the U23 & U18 player profiles have been updated so fair play to the club for that.
  9. I think we've recalled Walker and Clarke from their loans, so I assume they'l be involved tonight.
  10. Here's an extract of match report from 12/11/1894. The full report is here: https://imgur.com/4To2J1U
  11. Apart from Clarkson, who didn't play against Everton. That picture had Hunter in his Sunday best, so wouldn't have played.
  12. Its 100% true, Athersmith did use a brolly during a match against Sheffield United. It was reported in the Sheffield press. The weather was so bad Jack Devey walked off the pitch only to reappear a few minutes later wearing his coat. When I've got five minutes I'll fish out the match report.
  13. I have seen that photo with the players names on it: Players only – left to right: Dickson, Albert Brown, Clarkson, Jack Burton, Warner, Hunter (recently retired), Harry Devey Jas Cowan, Coulton, Cox, Allen, Hodgetts As there are 11 players, we can assume the photo was took probably before a game. Its then simply a case of going through the fixtures to find that 11 which match the photo. Its an unusual team line-up so it can be narrowed down to just a couple of games. It helps being a nerdy Villa fan who likes this type of thing!
  14. Just for the record, this photo is from March/April 1890. Its either the Birmingham Senior Cup Final or Archie Hunter's testimonial.
  15. Thanks for putting the fixtures up. Interesting to note we are down to play Burnley U23 on the 9/11/20 whilst, according to the BBC & Premier League websites, we are due to pay Carlisle in the EFL trophy on the 10/11/20. We’ll see how that pans out. Speaking of which, we are at Sunderland tonight playing our first group game in EFL trophy. I think Sunderland are showing it.
  16. Looks like Kaine Kesler's Birthday is 22nd October, as stated in his twitter account - @kainekeslerhayd I can't find anything on Chukwuemeka.
  17. Thanks OBE Naturally, I never thought of looking at the OS!
  18. Thanks BOF Just out of interest, where did you find the team info for the game, I'm struggling to find it.
  19. This is on the BFI player, but with the addition of the players walking past the camera: british film institute link
  20. My thought is Jack Bate. Never played any 'official first team' games but played during the war.
  21. We were due to play the last Premier League Cup group game tonight at Portsmouth. I can’t find anything on the web, I assume it’s been cancelled due to the bad weather.
  22. You have no idea how much this has tickled me. As an amateur researcher into the club, I have spent many an hour going through match reports trying to fathom what the team was. The club has played football matches in three different centuries and yet after all this time we still have to sieve through what scraps of information are available to figure out what’s going on.
  23. Starting to get nervous now. Its games like these that you remember. Do us proud tonight Villa.
  24. As its been raining goals since the move the Bodymoor, I thought it was great that I managed to see the game today (thanks to AndyClarke, you’re a star!). Today it continued, there were plenty of rain and goals. However, I didn’t expect the team to get nobbled to 4. It was a strange game. Had it not been for the good form of the Exeter goalie we should have been 3-1 up at half-time, instead of 0-1 down. Exeter’s lead was impressive due to playing against wind. Second half we were second best. Lost the ball in bad positions, struggled to get out of our half at times. Played too much football in our half, it was asking for trouble (very much like the senior team). Despite this, we could have scored a couple in the second half. Just a quick mention to the weather today. Horrendous for large parts of the match. If it wasn’t blowing a gale, it was throwing it down. A mixed bag of a team aswell. I haven’t seen the youth cup line-up from last night, so I assume that was the reason the team was missing Archer & Wright. I assume Guy was suspended. Good to see Bazeley-Graham back. I do like him, hope he makes a career in the game. U23 debuts for Paul Appiah & Charlie Farr, a first start for Hooper and first appearance this season for Pressley. Team: Searle, Appiah, Walker, Bazeley-Graham, Bridge, Birch, Hooper (Pressley), Clarke (Brunt), Tait (Farr), Ramsey, Odutayo. Unused Subs: Onodi, H. Sohna.
  25. I was walking along Colmore Row when it happened. By the time I managed to get my brolly up I was wet through from head to toe. A couple of seconds later my brolly was no more. Never seen anything like that before.
