  1. We just covered this at Uni. Australia is the same. I should probably read up on the policy and determine for myself what the difference is.
  2. Good shout. I'm going to say Fruit Loops. Though I don't understand this behaviour. It's like people who eat instant noodles raw.
  3. This one is possible to some extent. Your exact location can be pinpointed and your use of technology known. It is illegal for the most part but people still do it.
  4. Elon Musk seems to think we're in a simulation.
  5. Anything that protrudes the finger. More for myself than anyone else. That said, one of my pet hates as a basketballer is the amount of scratches I get from contested play and people going for steals. Not quite up there with long term injury and people who have a sizeable ego based on their perceived ability to put leather ball in the metal ring, but frustrating nonetheless.
  6. What kind of vulture, do you know (I got the effin massive one bit)? I'm still amazed this owl didn't break the glass. People heard the impact on the other side of the house.
  7. Burst appendix is painful. Mine went gangrenous and I nearly died as a result. Wishing your ma a speedy recovery. My weekend was fairly low-key. Played basketball, studied and caught up on some sleep.
  8. How was the holiday? Where are you at? Clothes! You can look clean cut from head to toe for about $100 if you shop smart. Good on you for taking care of your health, that's invaluable.
  9. Totally agree. Although seeing as you're the minister for cleavage, I would've thought you to be in promotion of a show where the only prerequisite seems to be a boob job. You, my friend, are a nutter. Just kidding, that's awesome. I frequently walk that in a day, hoping to turn it into running.
  10. Inglorious Basterds I found the trailer to be crass and lacking the humour present throughout the film, so here's a clip of the American's infiltrating Nazi territory posing as Italians.
  11. Like I mention in the Bruce Thread, I think transition is going to cause us a lot of nervy moments with a back four of Elmo, Chester, Jedinak, Hutton.
  12. I think Bruce does deserve some slack surrounding our start to the season. Apparently our target was 11 points from the first 5 fixtures. Had McGinn played in Kodjia after that close-down interception turned attack, had El Ghazi played in Elmo after that beaut through ball from Thor down the left flank and had Chester's header not hit the crossbar following McGinn's cross, we would have been 3-0 up before HT and it would've been out of sight, giving us our target of 11 points and putting us within a game of Leeds and Middlesbrough who have made nearly perfect starts. Bruce can't control such errors. @briny_ear made mention of us playing it on the floor more. We have been and it's good to see. We could of had 5 or 6 against Wigan. Kodjia's on track for a 30 goal season ? My biggest fear, and it's a real one, is how we cope in transition from attack to defense. We have a lot of experience in defense but like I mentioned earlier, you can read and anticipate an action as much as you like, but unless you have the physicality to intercept it, you're in trouble. The way it is now, our passing sequences aren't what they need to be to really spread our opposition. We still play quite direct even when it's on the floor. This leaves us vulnerable when we lose the ball in midfield and have to scramble back.
  13. Not yet, no. On the cusp of though. All of those players sealed moves to top 4 sides, something that fortunately didn't transpire for Grealish. I have little doubt that if Grealish emulates his form from the championship in the Premier League, he will displace someone in the England setup. Ox, Wilshere, Lallana, Livermore to name a few possible candidates. The only 3 players to go to the WC 2018 for England from clubs outside the top 4 were the 3 goalkeepers. Grealish never stood a chance playing for Villa.
  14. That's before my time but I'd rate him among Milner, Young, Benteke and Delph. Assisted against Hull and was a constant threat against Wigan and Brentford, displaying the kind of standards I've come to expect of him.
  15. Was unaware that Hogan might be loaned, thanks for that bit of info.
  16. I like your post because I appreciate you taking the time to dissect how we are playing. However I don't agree with all of it. High possession play is the best method for energy conservation. You let the ball do the work by tapping it about and forcing the opposition to chase. When played effectively, short passing possession play requires intelligent moving and sound passing technique above exuberant displays of running. The better the movement, the better the openings created. I have found that for all our individual ability on the ball we lack a cohesive approach in attack. This is something Bruce can remedy by building rapport at training. There's a saying in sport that has become quite famous, "Offense sells tickets, but defense wins championships". This is because defense requires resolute doggedness, hard work and sheer effort. You can anticipate that pass or run all you like, but if you're not busting a gut to intercept it, you're redundant. Defense is where energy expenditure is at its highest. Our front half is littered with killer instincts. Even Hourihane ended up with 11 goals last season, and I would put him behind Kodjia, Grealish, Adomah, Bolasie, El Ghazi and McGinn for technique. As you say our inability to play the team game negates our ability to create clear cut chances more frequently, relying on individual bravado to open up the defense.
  17. Well while I'm thankful that the kamikaze fly-by mission in retaliation for my scallywag use of said phrase didn't result in a 50cm bird injured in my room, I can't say I've learned my lesson.
  18. It's not often, in fact it's only happened once in my life, but I am wondering how my window didn't just shatter. I thought someone had thrown a brick or something. It's 11pm here and I hadn't put the blind down yet, next thing I know there's an owl flying into my window. God knows what it was trying to fly into my room for.
  19. Then their average would be equal to Abraham's goal tally last season. Hogan and Davis are worthy backups and are both capable of being involved in a winning side at this level.
  20. Reece Oxford anyone? Not seen much of him myself. West Ham are looking to loan him.
  21. I see Leeds, Stoke, West Brom and Middlesbrough making up four of the top six. Of that lot only Stoke and West Brom have the kind of quality we do throughout the squad. We have the players to win the league, just like last season. Whether we find the teamwork, playing rapport and consistency required to do so is still firmly in question.
  22. Had a great start to the season as far as I'm concerned. If he's off form 1 in 5 games then he's in for a good season. Early days yet, but he's on track for a 30 goal season.
  23. I don't see the need for this myself. Hogan and Davis are both due back September.
  24. We have the players to win this league. I wonder if this group of players could survive a season in the Premier League under the right guidance? Looking forward to seeing how it all comes together. We are as strong if not stronger in every position, except for one CB spot, than we were last season. I'm guessing we are missing Terry's on-field organisation and presence but Bruce should be able to accommodate for the loss of a 37 year old. Defense needs sorting badly. Does anyone else think that Jedinak is being selected to fill the void left by Terry, in that he's an experienced captain who is quite vocal?
