  1. I agree with TRO that all we can do is keep winning from here on in to give ourselves the best chance. However, one of Bristol City's games in hand is away at Middlesbrough on Tuesday 2nd April, so they can't both get 3 points from that game. Let's hope for a draw in that one though, eh?
  2. I think that sums it up very well, have my first like on this forum, good sir! It was a pretty dire first half from us, and I was slightly puzzled when Lansbury was brought on, but fair decision by Bruce, and good work from Lansbury himself - it paid off! Grealish, as he always does, drew a lot of fouls, which is always good for breaking up the opposition's play and tempo (although Leeds really didn't offer much at all in the second half). Still, a decent result at one of the most difficult places in this league to go to! Now let's hammer Millwall!
  3. I once came across a lad who wanted us to play Joe Bennett up front. Yes, really. As for this game, with Onomah, Snodgrass and Kodjia all doubts, I suppose we could shift Elmohamady forward to RW, switch Hutton back to RB, put Taylor in at LB and stick Hogan up front with Davis. I'd obviously prefer the win, but isn't it just like us to stop teams' bad runs (Sheff Wed have apparently lost their last 3 away league games on the bounce)?
  4. Hi! I started supporting Villa around about when I started showing an interest in football, in about 2008/9. The first Villa game I went to see was a 2-1 win against Burnleh in the League Cup back in October 2010. Dalian Atkinson was the player who ignited my interest in football, with his place, skill, and trickery. I was devastated when he passed away a year ago. I was born and raised in the sunny West Midlands (Aldridge, to be precise), but I did a Bachelor's degree in History and Russian Studies at the University of Birmingham, where I graduated with the best marks for Russian out of my year group in July 2016. As part of my uni course, I lived in Russia twice: for 3 weeks in Petrozavodsk in North-Western Russia (in the Karelia region, near the border with Finland), spent a few days exploring St. Petersburg, and then in 2014 and 2015, I spent a year living in Moscow and absolutely loved it. I miss the place a lot now. Hopefully, we'll get promoted this season! 2015-16 was the first time Villa have been relegated from the Premier League in my lifetime!
