  1. Above all I think Bruce is a pragmatist. He brought good players in and threw caution to the wind, unfortunately we then had the wobble. His sole aim at that point was to stop our losing streak and to start winning games to rebuild confidence. That style continued whilst we had the glimmer of a play off spot. Now that we are preparing for next season I expect he'll take a different approach and start to evolve the style of play in readiness for the start of next season. Off the pitch he still has a huge job to trim the squad to optimal levels. Gabby, Richards, McCormack, Gil, Sanchez, Vertout etc all need to be integrated or moved on. Some additions are also still required but what we need most is a relatively boring summer where all the work is done on the training pitch at Bodymoor Heath. Bruce will get us up next season, I have no doubt.
  2. And that's exactly the moment he thought he made it and has done the square root of nothing since. The only player I've ever seen who takes more pride in his appearance on the pitch rather than the effort required to win a game.
  3. God has spoken. Stop being a greedy bastard and the roads will be paved with gold.
  4. Abysmal keeper that has not saved a single shot of note.
  5. Erm if you ask a left sided midfield with little recent match experience at left wing back do not be surprised if he is not man of the match. if only we had a very attacking left full back that would not have to worry too much about the defensive aspect of the game because of the solidity that three centre halves give you....... Blame Bruce not Thor.
  6. Bruce has been diabolical since he started to get "his squad" together. It's almost like he's making it up as he goes along
  7. Who are the 12 that should leave? With the players left who is your reserve left back? Who do you think we shouldn't have sold/loaned? Using your math about our squad size please then elaborate on the equivalent number of players in addition to the 12 mentioned above that should Leave.
  8. So, by your own words this is a player whose contribution is "almost" contributing "off the bench" in three games. Forgive me for not shitting my pants in excitement.
  9. It's easy to be a great professional when you are promoted far above your station. Westwood will always define our lack of quality in the same manner that agbonlahor, lescott et al will define our lack of professionalism.
  10. I'm sorry, please can somebody explain what exactly Ayew has contributed to our season thus far?
  11. We need two streaks of 5 wins or three streaks of 4 on the bounce as will need to win at least 12 games to finish 6th
  12. He's a young player who has done the square root of nothing yet in his career apart from a handful of decent performances and attracting a series of unsavoury headlines. I'd question whether his family are giving him the right advice. If it was abundantly clear that he was knuckling down to make the most of his career I'd have a different view but my sense is that he is more bothered about having the trappings of a footballer's lifestyle. That's why I really wouldn't be bothered if we did sell him.
  13. Small steps. Win our next game (away, on sky) and suddenly we may win the following three. If we get 12 from the next 15 suddenly that gap to 6th will look far more achievable, particularly considering our relatively easier run in. Either way the new boys have to make a flying start.
