  1. What about 'guests' who just visit/browse the site but don't register?
  2. I'm curious how many things we could list that we could confidently say everyone on this forum has in common? Could we list 5, 10, 20, or more? I was thinking it through, and even the would be obvious ones had to be thrown out. Not everyone on here is a Villa fan as we get visiting fans. I suspect that not everyone loves football anymore as some might have been bored by how it's developed over the years. Surely there has to be some women on the site, even if not openly. Surely there are some things that unite us all? We're all human and do the basic things a human must to live (eat, sleep, breath etc)? Is that it?
  3. How on earth they are 6th with a -2 goal difference is ridiculous. If you told me 5 year's ago we'd be in 4th and 11 points clear of Utd after 27 games I'd have laughed at you. Hell, if you'd have said that just 18 month's ago I'd have thought you were insane.
  4. Modern kids never knowing the joys of either designing your own or buying a ringtone.
  5. We were going to visit Auschwitz when we went to Krakow but did the Schindler museum first. That was enough for one trip.
  6. I had shingles years ago but don't remember the symptoms Seat described. It's the unbelievable itchiness to the point of pain and the lumps/marks across my ribs that stick out for me. It was the most physically uncomfortable I've ever been for a prolonged period (like a 3 day electric shock if that makes sense). I've still got the scars on my side where it showed. Horrible virus.
  7. It's good and worth finishing but loses something and gets a bit silly as it goes along. Starts great and ends good if that makes sense. Netflix also announced yesterday that s2 had been cancelled.
  8. Anyone on here been a school governor before? If so, would you recommend doing it or too much faff?
  9. This reminds me. I'll never again do a bungee jump off Middlesbrough transporter bridge. Climbed to the top in absolutely awful winds that shook the whole bridge so badly they immediately closed it after our jump, stood at the top to admire the view and realised just how ugly Middlesbrough is. Just as I jumped a huge cloud of black ash was released from the crematorium below.
  10. I was reading a novel from the 90s to my son last night and it talked about having small toys in boxes of cereal. Made me realise that despite this once being a very common thing, I think it now no longer happens at all. Got me wondering what else used to be a common occurrence but has now disappeared without anyone really noticing?
  11. Similarly, I have almost no interest in UFC/mixed martial arts, however, one of my favourite films is Warrior. The fight scenes add to the story, but it's the personal elements of the film that I connect with. Similar to the Rocky films.
  12. I still enjoy camping, admittedly not as much as I once did, but I'm with you on music festivals. Absolutely no appeal.
  13. The opposite of the traditional bucket list. What thing do you plan to never ever do again before you die? Mine would be drunkenly deciding to climb a lamppost whilst out on Saturday night. Two days later and I'm still in pain.
  14. Anyone forgetting the difference in quality between the Premier League and the Championship only needs to remember that Scott Hogan once scored 14 goals in 25 Championship games. Philogene will hopefully come back to us one day and be a very good player, but it's a bit early to get excited about him now and say he's better than what we already have. Emery decided that whilst he wanted to keep him, selling him was the right decision and I trust that.
  15. Between them Hart and De Gea have: 4 team of the year awards 6 golden glove awards 4 League Cup wins 3 FA Cup wins 3 Premier League titles 2 European u21 titles 1 European u17 title 2 Europa League wins. Title winning teams are not known for having bad goalkeeper's, and especially don't keep them as number 1 for years. Trying to suggest they were not good keepers is complete revisionism and verging on idiocy.
  16. De Gea also lost form around 30 and he was a very good keeper. Maybe keeper's just don't have the shelf life they used too.
  17. He will be looking to make money on his investment, but he will also want the glamour of winning something if it's achievable. The club will also be something of a plaything for him. If you can invest in something you supposedly love, have millions of people around the world worship you for making them a success again, and still make a tonne of money off it. Who wouldn't do that?
  18. It's half-term and I've got my son for the day. He's been suckered in by McDonald's having Mr Men in the Happy Meals, so I've taken him there for lunch. Despiye it's name my burger was neither big, nor particularly tasty. It was however cold and appeared to have been sat on by someone based off how squashed and flat it was. Same experience everytime I get a McDonald's and yet it's always heaving.
  19. Especially when they basically bought the club with it's own money.
  20. Someone in football actually showing loyalty, long-term decision making and not chasing the instant money? I guess that could be possible.
  21. If he leaves for Bayern or Liverpool, he will massively increase his pay and sponsorship deals. He will also then be the one poaching players from smaller clubs, rather than trying to fight bigger club's off. I'd be very surprised if he stayed.
  22. Rock is twice the size he was in the attitude era and 20 year's older. I'm not convinced about his agility for a headline match. Reminds me of Steiner when he could barely move (but not as bad). Hopefully it's just ring rust and not another example of a legend being disappointing.
  23. Alternatively, it shows them that one way or another, by signing with us, we will help them find a path into first team football and a career, either here or elsewhere. By having come through our academy they might have access to more offers and chances than if they hadn't. Like going to a top university, rather than a rubbish one.
  24. Don't forget his signature move of body checking a jumping defender so that they fall dangerously.
