I really think we'd be fine if Luiz played next to Kamara.

It is utterly baffling. He is not on form, hasn't been for a while and Luiz is much better . Our manager makes him captain, though, which for me is one of the clearest indications that he doesn't know what he is doing. Terrible terrible decision

People saying he is no improvement on Luiz. Highlights how Luiz was unfairly criticized. They should be playing in the same midfield and McGinn dropped and Ramsey spared.

It is a pity he hasn't been picked as a starter in the first two games. He will get his chance though as Ramsey lacks consistency (McGinn will not be dropped) and it will be up to him to make sure he becomes first choice from then on. I can't see him replacing Kamara anytime soon.

Can't see that he is much of an upgrade on Targett. Why Targett felt he couldn't compete with this guy for a starting place is also baffling. Thought he was very poor today and really isn't all that defensively.

He was an expensive flop at Barça. They couldn't get rid of him fast enough. Didn't do anything special at Bayern either. He's very much in decline and it's a terrible shame that a special player on the way up is being benched instead of him.

Ever so slight an exaggeration here. Let's wait until the real games begin ,shall we? I watched him a lot for Sevilla and that centre back pairing were solid but by far the better of the pair has gone to Barça. Let's not build him up for a fall. He'll need time to adapt and mistakes will be made.

Buendia has been effective and Bailey should probably have been introduced earlier.

Had a very decent first-half and really, apart from the two wayward passes, was quite solid all round. Looked up for it too and got stuck in. Unlucky to be booked. Faded in the second half and the substitution was needed.
