If Grealish would come back for reasonable wages, say less than £100k a week, I’d take him.
But I’d do it just to put him in the bomb squad training with the U21s for the rest of his life. That would be great. Money well spent.

There was footage of her and William at a farm shop over the weekend on the news last night so it seems like the fun is over.
Are you new here?

What’s all this about an announcement? Any rumours doing the rounds?

James Bree. Aged 26 now, playing at a high level (Championship).

We'll play a Greek or a Turk in the semi.

French bastards. Never liked them. Food is over-rated. Smells like piss. Come on Villa!

Here we go!

The Greeks and the Turks. Feisty.

Things calming down in Syria clearly, Bashar Al Assad in for the occasion.

Do you think it’s Heck and the club or the FA final approval process which is delaying this ? Or is this an excuse to bash Heck cause he cancelled your hallowed new north stand ?
Bit harsh. Bit odd.

It was a red, but I don’t think that’s breaking anyone’s leg. I’ve made a few of those challenges in my life. They bruise the opposing player, not break them. Breaks require a more opposing force (eg scissor).

Yes I'm baffled by the reactions, other than mistake before he went off, I thought he had a solid game, won possession back a number of times, and at other times when he couldn't win it back, he was still making sure they couldn't pass it exactly as they wanted, kept it simple in possession, but given the circumstances was probably told to do so. Also as I've stated numerous times, he's not actually used to playing as the main DM, given it was his first start for us, and it was away to Ajax in a European Quarter-Final I thought he did okay,
He did okay, but also he was repeatedly out-muscled and ran into trouble on two occasions. He looked like someone used to playing in the Championship -- which he is. He'll grow. But in old Championship Manager ratings it was a 5 out of 10 for him tonight, imho.

It would make more sense if he just started rubbish, with slight bursts of ability to then end up in the form he's in now.
The bizarre thing to me is he started so well but has completely fell off. I do expect he'll come good again next season but wow he's not good at this moment.
Something must have happened to him. A divorce or homesickness or a family bereavement or something. He looks like a defeated man, which is such a shame because he's a bloody good player.
-
Still early days for him, but he didn't make a massive impression today. He did look more concerned about getting back than he did last week, but his defensive positioning was poor. He will be a good player. Not quite there yet.
-
He was poor tonight, a level beyond him, but I'd rather have Tim out there getting work experience than Dendoncker playing a similar level but getting a pension.

We made about 15 changes to the starting 11, and it showed. We were poor. We were lucky to get out of there 0-0.
Officiating some of the worst I can remember. Zaniolo's booking for brushing off someone, but OIlie gets an elbow to the face and there's nothing. Konsa booked twice in very dubious circumstances. Some mad challenges in the first half let play on. Whatever Amsterdam call their MI5 win MOTM today as they clearly snuck some sort of secret service agent into the ref's dressing room..

Has that ref ever been to a football match before?

If a £40m bid came in for John, and we needed the money, I’d sell. In three years Jacob will 25 but John will be 32.

No no, they’re six sizes too small.

My in-laws are Spurs fans and they had the strangest reaction to that Cash challenge.
My Father-in-law, who is a physicist, a lecturer, and an all round wonderful human was absolutely appalled at Cash’s challenge on Bentancur. Said he “knew exactly what he was doing” and that he’d aimed to injure him.
Absolutely baffling.
It’s very strange.
However, I just fired on a Spurs podcast on Mattie Cash one of the guests said “bad challenge but it wasn’t a red”. They’re not all mental about it.

Villa Park redevelopment
in Villa Talk

All hypothetical, but even that first row of houses next to the gardens would be enough for the club to do a lot. Can’t build a new stadium but opens up expansion for three of the four stands. Expands the North Stand and Holte car park areas as well.
