Nothing to see here, just a bit of New Contract Syndrome. He's human, and so the part of his brain that makes him work extra hard has gone to sleep a bit. Drop him for a few games and if his replacements don't perform, he can come back with a bit more purpose.

Yeah I also found that a bit baffling. I've been basing my explanations for the Grealish and the team's poor performances on the assumption that they couldn't wait to see the back of him. A bit of a worry imo. Because Sherwood showed belief in Grealish and gave him his first real run in the side. It's not baffling at all Yeah, apparently Sherwood loved Jack, played him in most games, so no wonder he's upset. Yeah, true, although it was obvious to all but Lambert that he should be given a chance. Grealish and Benteke's form are a big part of what made Sherwood look good last season.

He gets my backing but I now longer find it hard to believe anything good can happen with us. Yeah, I don't know a thing about him, but just being the Aston Villa manager would suggest he's a "useless clown". Garde Out.

If Garde has half a brain then this must be true. I know very little about football tactics, but I know enough about people to know that Sherwood has said some stupid, untrue, and counterproductive things about the Villa players.

I think GG being billed as our potential saviour is nothing more than Sherwood saying "These players you bought me are so rubbish I'm having to use academy players to try and save you from relegation." The club might indulge him while they find a replacement, but I think they'll see through it. Still, it'd be great if GG really is all that.

I agree. It'd be nice to have a real livewire who knows how to win games, but to find someone like that we'd have to raid the Champions' League clubs or find someone that 90% of fans would say was too risky. It would have been better if Time had turned out to be that manager, but oh well.
