  1. Really needs to cut out the 40yd sand wedge forward passes, think that is 5 or 6 now in the first half, each time it concedes possession.
  2. He is a decent player but really needs to kick on this season, part of the problem may be that he is a vision type player, and our front players have been so static that options for attacking play have been limited at best, as evidenced by the lack of goals, confidence plays a huge part and I think the squad overhaul and how he copes with his role within the squad we have now will see him either rise to the challenge or prove many on here right that he is not good enough, hoping for the former!
  3. The measure of optimism for this season might be summed up in how well Gestede adapts against Man Utd, it was a given he could do it against Bournemouth who have defenders who are still making the step up from championship to premier league, but how he copes against seasoned internationals will give us a good indication of how well we can take the game to opponents this season. Be nice to attack sides rather than sitting back and waiting for the counter attack that has become the Villa way until Tim arrived.
  4. For me it has to be 1982 watching us beat Bayern Munich, followed by Boxing Day at VP under O'Neill when we drew with Arsenal, my lads first game and the ground went mental when Zat Knight scored and he (my lad not Zat!) ended up two rows and 6 seats away in the upper Doug Ellis!
  5. Hi Villa fan since 1982, European Cup final the first game my parents let me stay up and watch. Currently living in enemy territory near the Emptihad, if i see Delph in the local supermarket I will buy him some Vaseline to help his slithering! Looking forward to some good banter on here with fellow Villa fans, big believer that Tim is taking us to better places than we have seen for quite som time.
