  1. Surprised about China being more brittle than Russia but I guess that's down to Russia's raw materials, oil, gas etc.
  2. That may work with Russia and North Korea but it won't work with China, they are at least the USA's match with industrial output and not far behind with tech. Plus they have a huge population that are willing to run into a burning building if told to, not much political dissent to a war from them. The UN stops the nuclear armed nations from fighting and that's its undoubted benefit, any weapons race with nukes at its centre is a very dangerous world to live in as anyone who lived in the 80's will testify, it was dreadful.
  3. I don't think they will do either, their new owner isn't stupid, he will aim at proven success and a decent track record. They have some dangerous forwards and on the break they score goals from half chances, tbh we have better chances and more often and they amount to nothing most of the time. Their real problem, as others have pointed out, is they have no style of play and quickly look disorganised under pressure. The 4th goal was a great example of them all complaining to the ref while Chelsea went for the throat, even the lead up to it when they all piled forward trying to get the winner was like watching 11 year olds, unbelievable tbh. I do think if Cov beat them then the manager will go straight away.
  4. OK, you can't grasp why Emery did it with the reasons given by countless posters....... Maybe it was to wreck Arsenal/Liverpools title chances?
  5. Nice steady performance, put his foot in a few times and won the ball, couple on interceptions and picked up some lose balls as well + never gave the ball away, had a few little runs with the ball as well. Very encouraging for his first start, reckon he will be starting a few games before now and the end of the season, especially if we stay in Europe, 7/10.
  6. Their competing with man City for the title, we're competing against Spurs and Manure for top 5.
  7. I don't think it's about protecting them from the emotional stress of defeat its about minimising the chances of injuries being aggravated and physical exhaustion. City rested their best players and won, we haven't got that depth because we play by the rules. We're all emotional about the villa but Emery isn't, he wants to win the war not the battle and he's giving us the best chance of doing that and anyone that can't see that is wrong. Even if we lose to Brentford we will have given ourselves a better chance by resting our better players, it really is that simple. As for judging our teams performance over a season from last night's performance, I think that's just ridiculous, it shows we have a squad that's not capable of competing for the premier league title, that's all, nothing else. Tim, Olsen , Rogers , Diaby, Duran all did well, under the circumstances, Zaniolo let himself down with a lack of concentration for 1 second, that changed the game.
  8. Played well first half, then the wall let us down and we lost our heads..Tim, Duran and Rogers did OK until they faded second half. This has no bearing on our season and to go strong and risk losing players against Lille or Brentford would have been mistake.
  9. Bailey and Diaby are gonna cause city big problems on their left side if they play like they did against Arsenal, tbh City looked pretty flat, I think we're playing them at the right time.
  10. He will go back to Italy, sounds like we was just a move to get him out of Turkey and keep him away from the media scrum around the gambling problems, once its settled down (next season) my guess he gets a permanent move to Italy.
  11. Sometimes a fight deserves two winners and that was one of em, lions with bollox the size of Mellons.
  12. Must be the pressure manure exerted by drawing to Brentford.....Neville
  13. If their just going away to get beat then I don't see the point in going and that's what England are doing under Southgate and Holland. There's not a chance in hell we are getting past the first decent team with a good manager, that's a fact. I would rather go on holiday and make the most of my time off work, which is what most players are doing. When Southgate goes and if we then get a manager and coach who are decent then things might change.

    Ezri Konsa

Great ball into the danger area that created a goal. It's what players should be doing when they get into decent positions. Moreno, Cash and a few others tend to want to play a perfect pass into one of our players but sometimes you just have to play it into a dangerous area and see what happens, this is exactly what Konsa did. Balls driven into the box from the byline is nightmare for defenders and keepers to clear, we have countless chances to do it, Moreno, but tend to over play it. Just drive the ball low and hard, at best a goal, at the worst a corner or a rushed clearance.
  15. Hopefully he ain't injured to badly. Reckon it will have to be managed for the rest of the season though and it will give Duran a chance to get some game time and maybe Rogers, Zaniolo as well.
  16. Great tackle and recovery as well, got straight back up off his arse and took the ball, nice little lay off to Doug ( who then lost the ball holding onto it too long). Would like to have seen him come on a little earlier but that's easy to say when the games over and we have won. I do think there's a player in there for us, question is can he do it now and from the start of next season, if there's doubts then we have to buy/loan a Kamara replacement and Tim has to build his career elsewhere, which would be a shame.
  17. Poch started it all off with his Chelsea should be 4th nonsense. Love a reporter to actually engage with them and suggest changing the point system to reflect these stats, that would take the wind out of their sails.
  18. His running with the ball and tight control is a fantastic attribute, he rode 2 challenges/ fouls before the ref had to stop play for the final rugby style pull back, this boys got ability that's for sure. Defensively he's getting better, noticeable that he didn't lunge in like he had been ( picking up a yellow cards), he used his positioning rather than physical engaging which is a improvement but he needs to find more of a balance between the two. He's shown enough ability, next season he's going to a huge player for us, unbelievable signing.
  19. Main stream social media platforms, I quit them all 10 years ago, probably why I'm on here so much. Found them draining.
  20. Great player and I'm sure he's a great bloke as well. With plenty of years ahead of him, wherever he is he'll undoubtedly continue to kick the shit out life, with both feet. ALB Sid.
  21. This is how I see it as well, must be niave I suppose. The administrators would still keep it running while trying to sell the assets off which could be brought back cheaply.
  22. Loved his header to keep the ball in play, typical Ollie tbh, effort levels are always 100%. Think we may see a rejuvenated ollie once we get on with the serious business of the top 4, he will score against wolves, its almost guaranteed.
