  1. Coen esque noir farce. Would advise just going in knowing nothing other than if you're a fan of Fargo you'll more than likely enjoy it rather than watching the trailer which spoils a bit of the plot.

  2. Crazy that even after tonights pasting they still have the 4th best defensive record in the league, Only City, Arsenal & Liverpool have conceeded fewer goals. They just don't put the ball in the net enough at the other end, having failed to score in 13 of their games this season & it is that more than anything else that is hurting them.

  3. Good achievement but hardly a surprise given the investment & not being a huge difference in quality between the leagues. Since it changed to 2 teams promoted from the national league in 2003 Wrexham are now the 8th team to get back-to-back promotions in 21 years. Bookies had them at 4/5 to go up before the season kicked off. Honestly wouldn't be surprised if they did it again next year, There is some absolute dross in League 1 bar the odd championship yo-yo clubs.

The most startling thing about this is the amount we’ve lost from 2 goals up but then absolutely no wins from 2 goals down.

The most recent instance I can think of us winning from two goals down was Southampton away in 2005.  Can anyone recall this happening more recently?

Looks like i missed one of the West Brom games that we actually won in my original list. As far as i can see after going back through every PL season this every game that we have been 2 down in and ended up winning.

    98/99 Arsenal 3-2
    99/00 Spurs 4-2
    00/01 Coventry 3-2
    04/05 Southampton 3-2
    13/14 West Brom 4-3

  5. Not that you really associate united with bogey teams but of the remaining games they have they do seem to struggle against several of them recently, especially Brighton.

Last 5 premier league games record:

    Liverpool W1 D1 L3
    Bournemouth W3 D0 L2
    Newcastle W1 D2 L2
    Sheff Utd W3 D1 L1
    Burnley W4 D1 L0
    Crystal Palace W2 D1 L2
    Arsenal W2 D0 L3
    Brighton W1 D0 L4

Out of those 8 teams they only have recent winning records against Bournemouth, Sheff Utd & Burnley and they have already lost 3-0 at home this season to Bournemouth on that list. Sure it's united so they could end up winning 6 of them but presuming we even manage to win 1 of our remaining 6 i don't think they will catch us

    No that's a different game.

I was sure the "Macheda game' was the one we lost 3-2 and he scored in the last minute. It was at Old Trafford and I think Carew scored.

EDIT: Just checked and I was right. We were never 2 up in the Macheda game. Ronaldo scored 1st. Macheda got the winner on 93 mins.

Ah, that is back further than i went, Saw the Macheda goal to spark the 2-2 in 2010 and didn't check back further, someone else mentioned the fa cup game in 2002 against utd too. Definitely happens too often against utd for sure but not sure if we are any worse than any other team in general overall.

There is an article from 2022 that shows how often teams had won/lost from 2 up/down in the PL era, we were on both lists but nowhere near the worst. Shame it doesn't show Draws as we would be on that list too.

I dont think we were 2 up in the Macheda game were we?

Goals were: Young 72, Albrighton 76, Macheda 81, Vidic 85

Sure none of it really has any bearing on today, Durán was 6 when Macheda scored

  8. Going back to where it feels like it started with Macheda in 2010 (*Edit Turns out i hadn't gone back far enough for the other Macheda 3-2 game in 2009 but that wasn't a 2 goal lead anyway & had also missed one of the Baggies turnarounds in 13/14)

    2023/24 - Utd 2-3 & Brentford 3-3

    2021/22 - City 2-3, Wolves 2-3 & Leeds* 3-3 (3-1 up)

    2018/19 - Preston 3-3, Leeds 2-3
    Reversals - Forest 5-5, Hull 2-2 & Sheff Utd 3-3

    2017/18 - Sheff Utd 2-2

    2015/16 - Leicester 2-3

    2013/14 - Liverpool 2-2
Reversal - West Brom 2-2, West Brom 4-3

    2012/13 - West Brom 2-2, Utd 2-3 & Everton* 3-3 (3-1 up)

    2011/12
    Reversal - QPR 2-2

    2010/11 - Utd 2-2

14 times we have failed to win from being 2 goals up against recovering from 2 down 6 times. 6 Games Lost & 1 Won

I would say its pretty right wing to dismiss lives of certain people and push the idea that they would have died anyway.

I would say it's strange that none of you are slating blandy & remarking on his every post for having some common sense when looking at the numbers despite him saying exactly the same as myself & a few others have said.

    Maybe because he's a mod?

Just so you realise what you actually said

I know exactly what i said. If you do not agreee 100% with the twitter left you are classed as right wing, there is no middle ground & honestly it's as bad on here.

Good question. I suspect that an element of it is from a take that personal freedom and personal choice and individual rights take precedent over state "interference" or state "control". Another part may be a right wing view that the economy should dictate. Another part maybe that some right wing people are quite prone to disbelieving anything the state says - they don't trust the state/deep state (especially in murica). There may be an element of not giving a damn about other people they don't know - I'm all right jack, though I'd love to go to the pub/theatre. There' also a tendency amongst some to be quite nationalist - I'm American/English and I am not a weak continental and the virus can't get me because of that. A sort of imagined exceptionalism.

Oh, and quite a lot of them are massive bell ends.

& quite a lot will just be normal people who want to see their families/go to work & are now being called right wing because of this opinion because it differs from what the left echo bubble deems to be right...

  12. I think some of the low testing numbers now can simply be put down to it being too late for many people. The majority of people do actually seem to have spent most of the last 6/7 weeks at home so are unlikely to currently have it & be in need of a test. If 100,000+ had been available a month or more back or if this was tests to see if you had actually had it rather than have it now it would be an entirely different story with queues everywhere for tests

  13. In a bit of a break from the usual teen angst stuff I seem to mostly watch lately I am enjoying upload on Amazon. It is something different than most of the other stuff around at the moment.  Death/comedy/drama with a dead like me/pushing daisies vibe. Won't take you long to decide if you like it or not.

*Now finished upload, most enjoyable & would quite like more of this.

I know, Not really sure how these past few messages seem to have gone so backwards. I said it would probably make sense for the rest of the shops on retail parks to be allowed to open as half of them are open anyway and now with mcd/kfc reopening it seems daft that 60-70% will be open and the remaining bits like sports direct etc closed. They are huge stores where distancing is easy & people are already at the retail parks anyway. If anything it will spread the people already there out a bit if more shops are open. I would imagine that not many people walk to them given the out of town locations so once the car park is full that is the amount of people there at that time so they already have a somewhat inbuilt control on numbers . Surely spreading those already there out between 12 shops makes more sense than 8 shops

    Eh? Food places haven't shut?

But essentially you appear to be saying places are busy lets make them busier. That would be absolutely stupid

Then again, this government really seems to be insane anyway

mcdonalds/kfc etc have all been completely shut for a month, only starting to open up for takeout & delivery now/next week

Makes absolutely no sense whatsoever ever to make retail parks even busier than they currently are.

The people are already there & will be in much larger numbers once all of the food places are fully up & running next week, seems little point in only having every other shop open at the rest of the site
