  1. Only just catching up on the gypsy conversation. I once worked a gypsy wedding at a hotel helping out from a hotel from the same group. It was absolutely chaos but good fun. Plenty of money about, nice cars, bulging wallets. Dancing on the chairs during the meal. I only worked until the food had been served. So no doubt it would have been less good chaos later but that would be no different from other weddings I've worked with that amount of drink flowing. I could have got lucky as well, as flirted with a girl all evening and she caught me as I was leaving and tried to lead me to the woods in the grounds. I had my sensible head on and bottled it though for a fear of having my head kicked in . Gave her my number but never heard anything back.
  2. If the sale completely falls through, what do you think the situation will be with the money 777 have already lent the club? If they have any rights to demand it back in a short timescale, considering it was for operational running then that could tip them over the edge without another buyer.
  3. The Pork itself, I put on the 230° Air fry until the crackling has gone all crispy then put it on roast at about 160° for the sufficient time to cook the pork. The extra crackling, was the first time I'd done it in the air fryer. I tried it 2 ways cut in long strips and chunks of about 2cmx4cm (done separately) and air fried at 230° for about 25mins. Salted and coated with a bit of oil before hand and a bit of moving around during cooking. Both worked pretty well.
  4. One of my favourite things in my air fryer is Roast Pork. I'm cooking a midweek roast dinner. A mixture of crackling from the pork and extra crackling done separately. There's a lot more so should keep in a tub. Forgot the wife had a hair appointment so currently munching on some washed down with some Thatchers Vintage. The rest all ready to finish off when she gets home.
  5. Aside from the shit show that has happened, it does highlight the value of VAR (if it was done properly) You can see why the lineman has stuck his flag up. I'm sure the body positions meant it looked offside in real time on the touchline, yet on replay it very clearly wasn't. However the knock on result of this is they're not now going to stick their flag up unless they are 100% sure it was offside (so comfortably offside) Increasing the risk of injuries to players when there has actually been an offside as well as the issue that there would only be a check if a goal was scored which wouldn't stop someone scoring from say a corner obtained after the incident. So many things to sort out, which ultimately can't be, without pretty much an instant decision.
  6. My daughter is 6. I think I might get her hearing checked out. We often have to repeat what we say to her but then other times she is fine. She doesn't particularly like loud noises and environments, that's been the same since she was a toddler.
  7. It's not say they won't get away with it in the end, but the arrogance (presuming it was them) that they would get away with it is amazing. On the face of it, it looks so brazen.
  8. I've booked to go in the Number 1 lounge on Friday at Birmingham. Not been in one before but just figured I'm going to need something to eat and will probably end up having a few beers too so just thought I'd spend the £30 anyway plus on my own as mates going from elsewhere. So just hoping for somewhere a bit more comfortable than the main lounge to chill for a couple of hours.
  9. The sad truth is sexual assault and rape charges are so hard to actually get a conviction back when the incidents happened and still today. There is bound to be a fear that they would go through it all and he's found not guilty, which is heartbreaking if you know you are telling the truth. It only seems like the 'wins' come in non criminal cases and pay offs to avoid them and that's in The US rather than here. It is such a minefield though, in the fact sometimes there are false claims. Similarly last week I think, on the same day there was a report about abusive father's being allowed to see their children and causing harm again and another about a number of women making false claims to get custody and to ban contact entirely.
  10. I presume that's what will happen to the current XL Bully owners. Ban the trading and breeding of them, and current owners will have to apply for a licence and follow some strict rules if they are awarded a licence, if they want to keep their dog.
  11. Middle school for my daughter is years 5-7 Then High school 8-11 + the 2 years 6th form.
  12. Yeah this is Droitwich. It's not something I've experienced before. It does seem like a good way to give them a bit of a head start and prepare them for secondary school. Although not sure whether the figures back that up. Although to go along with that it does seem like she has grown up very fast.
  13. My youngest is 6. I still get Daddy most of the time but also get Dad too, and even weirder is when she occasionally calls me Liam (which is my name rather than some random name she calls me)
  14. My step daughter starts year 7 on Friday (which is ridiculous anyway for just 1 day of the week) but its middle school. High school will be next year.
  15. The wife's Aunt and Uncle are terrible for it. We got a giant wall clock for our wedding present, which was obviously something they had but didn't want. Then when we visited several months after Christmas they gave our girls their presents. Some old porcelain cups and dolls (some broken) they again obviously didn't want on a clear out, and some things their kids must have had growing up but didn't use. Well that was my first thought until the girls started to look at them, some activities had been done in a book and bits missing and the sweets were out of date. I just don't get it, our girls wouldn't have been expecting anything, any gift wasn't necessary. There's no harm done, we tell the girls to say thank you and that's that. Not going to say anything and fall out as it's nothing major and even quite funny to laugh about or moan about on football forums, but it is strange. I'd be embarrassed to try and do the same.
  16. Seems like a very sensible signing
  17. I don't think he had a great game last week. He does seem like a player that needs a game or 2 to get his rhythm going though. I feel his bad games were first off and after injury. Not too worried he is a class act.
  18. We've all seen the wacky beer flavours and i've bought a few. This might be going a bit far though.
  19. Joint second in the VT league and top in my work one and mates one. I think I may have peaked a little too early
  20. Just joined, not actually done it in a number of years but persuaded to do one at work so also joined in with my mates league that I used to enter so may as well do this one as well.
  21. Probably are just that. Have footy insider ever actually called anything that hadn't been reported by better journalists? I just can't see it. I can't see either Spurs or Arsenal paying enough to tempt us at this point and with claret and blue tinted glasses can't see why he would want to go to Spurs. That leaves whether there is a release clause in that new contract.
  22. I saw a couple of DB12's yesterday, presumably doing some in house test drives or had been on show somewhere. Looked nice, better from the side than behind.
  23. Saw the article yesterday first person I thought of was Anthony Gordon. Not quite as drastic as that one but did think it must be a thing in that neck of the woods.
  24. Well it's defintely topical for me as my Dad has just been told he has a growth. As well as one in the bile duct which appears separate rather than secondary. Not confirmed they're cancer but pretty likely. Bastard Cancer!
