  1. Here's a question:

If AMcL gets the job and you're one of the (seemingly) thousands who swear they'll never spend a pound at the club until he's gone, will you be in the queue for tickets if he gets us to Wembley?

    Be honest...

no, l feckin won't.......l have no interest in the Johnsons Paint Trophy.....
  2. The majority of people living in Ladywood, Aston, Nechells are gloryhunters from what I've noticed. I may be wrong though but I don't think there's much Villa or Blues at all. Mostly Man Utd, Arsenal or Liverpool.

...have you ever tried to buy a Villa shirt in Islamabad or Mogadishu.....feckin hard work mate......

  3. Just had a call from B6 informing me that me and the Mrs have been selected for a pitchside experience at the Stoke game on Sat. Girl on phone was a bit vague though, she just said bring a camera. Anyone got any idea idea whats involved ?

......yeah its great, you get to take pictures of Stan Collymore slipping your missus a crippler in the dug-out.......or she can take pics of you if you prefer.......

  4. Oh God. I can only apologise on behalf of these neanderthals. Hope that they are collared and get the book thrown at them, a disgrace to the club and the fans.

Of course, remember we're not all like that so don't tar us all with the same brush because of the actions of a tiny minority. It's not a regular occurrance, I've never seen anything kick off outside Eastlands personally and I leave the ground near where the away fans do. I will say thug that the policing arrangements don't help matters. All fans, even United's, leave at the same time as the home fans and this needs to be changed IMO.

James, you can have all the money in the world BUT it won't buy you class and decency. To me, the support for the Blue side of Manchester has many similarities to the Blue side of our city and this includes the thuggish element.

....you still can't tar everyone with the same brush......we had plenty of banter and more than a few beers with citeh fans before and after the match....not a hint of bother.....it was only the 90mins of pure shite that got in the way of a good away day.....which citeh usually is...

  5. Anyone know of any cheap coaches and pick up points along Great Barr, Perry Barr, Streetly, Sutton area.

Also prices, such as premier travel heard of them but not sure how much they are charging.

    Cheers

Premier is £20.....leaving kingstanding circle at 2.45 with another pick up at parson & clerk......number is on earlier posts

  6. That coach sounds promising... my mate might not be able to get out of work until 4 though which would kill that dream before it even gets off the ground. Do you know what time he usually sets off/picks up in Brum, please?

Pick-up at Kingstanding Circle is 2.45pm....so a bit early for your mate I guess ?

  7. where do premier pick up from ?

have they got a website ?

not sure about website, but phone number is above and office number is 01543 426426 - believe they pick up in B'ham city centre, Kingstanding and Parson & Clerk (Streetly)......

  8. Having travelled up there for our last two fixtures against citeh, I have to agree that its best to travel using either the official Villa coaches or by your own mode of transport. Using the official coaches means that you are taken right into the main car-park which is literally 2 minutes walk from the stadium. And althought the stadium is nice, the surrounding areas are terrible, real Shameless territory in my book. I have to admit that I didn't feel safe at all walking back to my car in the dark following a midweek match a couple of seasons ago, was glad to get out of there.

....anyone know if Premier or similar are running coaches ??.....official coaches are ok, but I quite enjoy a gargle en route......

Premier (Steve Gough) runs travel to all away games, his number is 07712653356, he also provides match tickets to most games.

...cheers pal....am now booked with Premier......just gotta sort tickets, but if I don't get one beforehand, will take my chances on the evening.....looking forward to it.....

  10. Anyone going to that match looking for trouble, whether Blues or Villa, is a **** arsehole who does not deserve to be there.

I don't think it will be as bad as 2002 but it's going to be rough. Villa fans just need to behave and let the world know there is only one professional outfit in Birmingham.

    .....go knit something will you....

  11. I'm only happy with Houllier if he brings in some French players. Sorry, but if we keep going English we'll keep running out of ideas like we have been. Can we please bring in some quality that has attractive flair, too? I'm still annoyed with what a waste of time Hadji spent with us.

All my mates here in the states are laughing at me...because I used to laugh at their Scouse-asses back when Houllier was fouling up at Annsfield. I loved looking at his big eyed frog face just staring at the pitch...and now I have to see him do it whilst gaffing Villa.

Ah well, Ribery would do nicely please.

......don't worry, when our goal-tender completes his shut out on Monday and we win 3 to zip, I'm sure you'll be a lot happier.......

  12. I'm a fan of Sam Allardyce. Unfortunately he's good enough to currently be in a job, so he's ruled out.

......given the current upheaval and uncertainty regarding the Blackburn takeover, I'd say that Allardyce would be the most gettable of any of the managers currently in a job........and IMO think he would jump at the chance.....

  13. If Roberto Danadoni wants the job then give it to him.

....preposterous....not a prayer........there is however, an outstanding candidate much closer to home......great man manager and motivator.....shrewd tactician.....great contacts at home and abroad.....well versed in the backroom/technical/medical side of the game.....sometimes vilified for the way his teams play, but sometimes you have to cut your cloth accordingly.......and would have a serious point to prove at a big club (plus his midfield wouldnt get walked through like ours did on Sunday)......I give you Sam Allardyce

  14. I'd give Koeman a chance, we're going to finish mid-table so we may aswell take a bit of a risk instead of settling for some steady eddy bluenose cu*t like Curbishley.
Yeh bring in Koeman and support him with a DOF - someone like GTmkIII might be an idea. Do I not like that.

You can just picture it. "Ronald, I've got you a nice young lad called Michael Boulding..."

.....or maybe a McGrath or a Platt or a Yorke who amazingly enough he also signed.......on his way to getting us promoted and becoming runners up in the big league......although it was before Sky came along, so l wouldn't expect you to remember......
  15. I'd certainly throw Paul Lambert in the equation, a young up and coming manager for me!

.....I personally would have no problems with this (although I'm sure plenty others would !).......had a good grounding in lower leagues....his teams play football the right way.......has planty of contacts around Europe....and the minute some upstart in the dressing room says 'show us 'yer medals' he can bounce his Champions League winners medal off his head....all good I reckon...

  16. On BBC football gossip pages, there are some direct quotes attributed to Ajax finance director that if club don't make it to group stage of the Champions League, the likes of Suarez, Van der Wiel, etc etc, will definitely be sold as they have lost 35m euros on Van Basten's crap buys......can't see Mr Jol being too impressed if that happens.....

  17. Having heard him on WM's phone in last night i have decided Big Ron needs to come back , with Big Mac as his assistant
......if we were ever gonna bring one of our 'old boys' back, it would have to be John Gregory for me........l know he had his faults, but he still bleeds claret and blue.......love it when he does his punditry on one of our games and he's sat there in his Villa tie !............and his record stands scrutiny next to most of our managers...
