  1. I trust Villa to judge his potential far more than myself going on YouTube and Fotmob. I trust Unai and his coaches to make a player the best they can be if they listen and buy into him. It's great buying big name players like Diaby, Pau and so but you also have to create them to function as a whole. I know little to nothing about the guy but the management we have do and deserve our trust in this move. In relation to Fotmob, whilst I had a quick look, he's played the equivalent of 14.5 full games this season with 2 goals and 6 assists. If he maintained that over a full season, ignoring the chance of bettering it, it would be roughly 43.5 games, 6 goals and 18 assists. If all else fails, he's 6'4" according to Wiki so we can shove him in DM to win headers and be a nuisance.
  2. Maybe they signed their next RB early so they're not ripped off with other clubs knowing they have a decent transfer fee coming in. If Kosta is better then they'll be shooting themselves in the foot not playing him if they're going for titles/Europe.
  3. Heard he's a bit of a pussy when it comes to putting in a tackle.
  4. Very frustrating today when in possession. Pau uses the space either to draw in or skip past. Burnley weren't getting drawn in but instead of using the space it's like he didn't know what to do. I'd prefer Konsa there with a top notch new right back. I say this knowing that I started to lose hope with Konsa last season. I know Diego is coming off a brutal injury but the issues are more decisions rather than physical.
  5. Nope. He got things moving quicker than the Utd physios coming on and I have no doubt the time they'd eat up wouldn't reflect the time added on.
  6. A stinker from him tonight. It's an exception to the rule though. Nothing wrong with calling out a poor game but let's not start turning on players after a few duff results.
  7. Looks better on the left/middle than right touchline. Feigning injury when we've already got 10 mins extra to play through isn't the best of moves. It looked like Moreno was telling him to get up and crack on if he's not injured. I like him though. A weird game to come into but he did well.
  8. His work rate, strength, eye for a pass etc are fantastic but his first touch is ridiculous. His ability to receive drilled in passes from defence is absolutely vital to us.
  9. There was a question of why Konsa at right back tonight from some. Diego humbled and made Haaland look nothing short of ordinary today and that is why Konsa stayed out wide. I love Ezri but if Cash was out wide and Ezri was on Haaland, it may have been different. He can hold his own but Diego showed brute strength that was mental.
  10. He showed a more aggressive progressive side to his game today. (Higher up the field) Made it look so easy at times when it was anything but.
  11. A kindly reminder that patience is a virtue. Absolute class.
  12. I wrote off McGinn and Bailey so I'm not going to make the same mistake here. He's doing what they both did in trying too hard to make an impact. It results in losing possession and looking poor. It's evident the guy has everything needed to succeed physically and technically. Mentally is where it will fully click.
  13. He was really good at times today. The cut-backs when he's flowing are frustrating, instead of just being strong and driving through but there was a lot to like this evening.
  14. He's nearly scored about 10 already. These are the breaks, it happened with Ollie and then he went berserker. Patience.
  15. He's not our biggest problem, but unfortunately, he is a problem none the less.
  16. Oozes class, calmness, vision, brains. Just keeps everything ticking and it's an absolute joy to watch.
  17. Great finish. He's contributed with assists and just his pressing game in general helps the team in a subtle way. There's barely any middle ground on here, either shite or great when it's not like that.
  18. Progressing nicely. Really fine margins away from 2 belting goals in the last 2 games. This is him raw, imagine when he's up to speed.
  19. Absolutely. It wasn't a criticism as such, this sort of thinking helps unlock defences. Some things are a bit telegraphed at the moment as he's still getting used to his surroundings and our squad is getting used to how he can be. It'll pay off in the long run. The niggly fouls/ref interaction is more my worry. They've got a hard-on for throwing yellows at everything this season.
  20. That shot for our first goal was outrageous. He's very hot and cold, he tries things but it means losing possession at times, ala, Buendia but he also creates a lot of space and brings others into play. He's definitely not up to the speed of play at the moment but as it builds you can tell we've got a potential monster on our hands. He needs to reign in the petulant fouls though. When you've got no chance of winning the ball, just close the distance. The yellows will add up quickly and the potential for a red for two soft fouls is high.
  21. He makes you realise how dynamic Cash is (with his wasteful flaws of course). Some of it could be lack of match fitness but he looked miles off the speed and intensity that other teams are going to be bringing. At times it came across as so casual that he's one of them players who's very good at football but it's just a job to them. Bad day at the office either way.

He had the potential to be but we barely tried to utilise him.
  23. His first touch and movement incorporating that touch is mental. It looks like he's moving in fast forward at times. Great to see him back and moving fast. Should have hit the target at the end but I get it's fine margins with the way he tried to strike it. If we could merge the best bits of Ramsey and Zaniolo, we'd have a world class player that would be unstoppable.
