  1. Great News that is and hopefully have a positive impact on the team as we approach games vs Bolton, Blackburn and the Dingles.
  2. based on the 2 teams there I share the opinion that we have spent over £20million of second 11 players. our first eleven last season ran out of steam to finish top 6 but with Man City and Spurs both strengthening theirs first 11's i expect closer to a top 8 position this season for us. we dont have any kind of strength in depth in defence and still lack a genuine goal scorer or a midfielder that can create something from nothing. all our centre midfielders tend to do the same stuff (to differing degrees of quality). hope i'm proven wrong but i'm not as optimistic about the new season this summer as i was last time round.
  3. Hi General, Thanks for all the good work in your posts to keep us all informed and giving us fans a chance to discuss events at the club. The CSKA result/squad has been talked about enough and we will all move on and support will not wane despite any slight hiccups we may have along the way. I was wondering if the club are planning to sell replica shirts of the white 3rd kit that was worn last night. I and many other other Villa fans loved the white kit but the opportunity to purchase it with the Acorns name across would be fantastic. Any news on this would be much appreciated. Thanks and Up the Villa!!!
  4. http://www.avfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10265~1458248,00.html Source: OS Villa will play a quartet of winter reserve games at Hinckley United's Marstons Stadium. The games, which kick off at 7pm are: West Ham Utd - Monday 5 January Chelsea - Monday 19 January Arsenal - Monday 16 February WBA - Monday 23 February
  5. I actually prefer the game not being shown live on the screens anymore and the team information being shown instead, but replays of key moments would be nice during the game other than the just the half time update we currently get. Up the Villa!
  6. This is how it also works at VP. If there are any difficulties with the season tickets cards, the customer should be politely directed to a supervisor who is located outside the turnstiles who has a hand held reader which will read the card and can explain exactly what the problem is. Unfortunately from inside the turnstiles, the operator is unable to know exactly what the problem is and so has to refer any problems outside, this of course should be done politely and not to try to irritate the customers further. If you have any individual problems, any comments (both good and bad) can be directed to Lee Preece, Matchday operations. Each turnstile operator has a name badge on display along with a jacket number so issues can then be ironed out and a better match day experience can be had by everyone.
