Finished shogun
I'm guessing it's because of the book
But I'm torn on it not having the battle, part of me thinks it was brilliant to have torunaga lay out his plan another part of me thinks I've been robbed of something that would have been spectacular
There won't be anything better on TV this year
SpoilerGet the feelingit may have been a financial decision.

There's no denying the GOT had some memorable lines, Sansa to Baelish, "No need to seize the last word, Lord Baelish. I'll assume it was something clever".
-
And so the curtain draws on Shogun. It will live long in the memory. As near to visual poetry as you can get.
-
You know when it's a really good show because you can't even skip the intro. Such is Shogun.
-
Just finished the penultimate episode of Shogun. A shame I've only got tea, something stronger would have been more adequate. What a series.
-
It really is stunning how the writers of Shogun managed to capture that Oriental Essence.

The moment where Lady Mariko gently takes the hand of the Anjin, just beautiful. Who needs words?

Finished season 1 of The Sopranos and all I can say is how did I ever miss this shit?
Certainly puts some credence to the multi - verse theory.

Shogun, the character Yabushige is like the Japanese version of Larry David. By far, my favourite in the show.

They do my head in , them.
If Garth Crooks team of the week isn't the full Villa XI when we've had a good performance it tends to go off etc
Like we need it confirmed that we're a massive club. If you know, you know!

He's getting bigged up all over the Sports internet and Media today for the job he's done here.
Well deserved!
Try telling that to the conspiracy theorists.

Suggests that it was an extension option on his existing contract rather than a brand new one. Makes sense to announce it now, as speculation on summer managerial vacancies is ramping up, and Emery won't want the distraction of media speculation about his job affecting the players.
Sounds like he will get a brand new deal in the summer, which will no doubt come with a pay rise and maybe a (formal) increase in his responsibilities.
More "Responsibilities", what's left, Lord Mayor?

He does, I met him last week in the Hyatt and told him this.
In this day and age we need, at least, selfie proof.

For those of us who remember, they're a lot of similarities to Saunders reign. Certainly in the way he has shaped the team's identity.
-
This has been done as confirmation in that Emery sees this job as a long - term project. You can see already what he has created, in his season and a half, at this club. This harmonious climate which you can see and feel every time Villa play, especially when we win, is all down to the trust shown by the owners in giving the manager full control of everything related to the team. I doubt he will ever feel more "On cloud nine" than he does here.
I see similarities to Klopp's reign at Liverpool, in the sense that, he will know, and feel himself when it's the right time to go.

Only way I'd even consider, considering to sell him is if it's to one of the European Powerhouses ( Real Madrid, PSG, Juventus, Barcelona ) etc.
We'd be mental to sell him to any club in the Premier League, or perhaps selling him at all regardless of money.
Giving him to a team like Arsenal or any of the others around us would be shooting ourselves at point blank range.
Tbf, I think the clubs you have named would maybe be the only type to turn his head. I would like him to stay as he reaches that peak, at least another big season. I wouldn't begrudge him a move to one of the big two in Spain. I could imagine him scoring plenty for either.

I think he is too entrenched in the project.....money talks of course.
but you can easily spend £100 mill unwisely too.....so it's not always a good move.
I think Ollie is an integral cog, in the way we play....so selling him, would not be prudent to me.
Ollie is fast approaching, as important to us as Jack......if he hasn't surpassed that already.
I think the Arsenal fan thing gets exaggerated. That Holte - End can be something special to a goalscorer. Little, Deehan, Gray and Big Peter, they all had that special connection. Can't forget that silky genius, Gary Shaw. I often think of what a player he could have become. Real Madrid type quality.

Just beautiful to watch on Sunday and such a humble lad. Comparisons to a real Villa legend in Gary Shaw and that spin off the defender that led to the third goal was very reminiscent of a prime Gary Shaw.
With that amount of goals and assists, without penalties, he must be favourite for player of the year. I really hope he gets that record of premiere League goals, in a season, at Villa Park. I remember how Andy Gray would fully soak in the adulation of a packed Holte - End whenever he scored a vital goal, and he scored many.

Watching the highlights of Coventry v United. I'm quite surprised Coventry got the pen for that handball, especially when you think of the one we was denied with Bailey.
-
Strange to see Burnley only 3 points off the relegation zone. Obviously the deductions of points for others provides some explanation. Their goal difference in comparison to Everton and Forest is alarming though. I can't see any of the current bottom three surviving.

I think he's our best player.
We have a LOT of really good players.
I think Sunday's performance was ample evidence that he is far more better for us in the centre of that defence. Anticipation, you can't teach that quality, it's pure instinct. I think Paul McGrath smiles watching Ezri play.

Based on what? It's not as if they've been hiding his injury from us.
Although tbf even if Mings is back to his best it'll be tough to supplant Konsa.
Just the rumours regarding retirement and things like that. He may well fully recover, but I feel like it was worse than expected. He would still be a fine back - up to Torres.

I reckon he might be back up if we sell Cash and then we'll sign someone at their peak but we'll see!
If we were forced to sell a couple of players, I honestly think Cash would be at the front of my mind, along with Digne (wages), Tim and maybe Duran, although, I'm very impressed with his enthusiasm and commitment when on the pitch. He has that precious habit of making something happen from seemingly nothing, The Cash goal against Lille was caused by his threatening presence and that's a quality we're not exactly spoiled with.

Why would it be "Absolutely Scandalous?" It looks like a foregone conclusion that we will, but even if we were to finish, say, 5th and win the ECL, it would still be one hell of an achievement. We would undoubtedly feel aggrieved somewhat, but I don't see how it would be "Scandalous," after all, nothing is guaranteed.
