    Right then so VAR does intervene but sees nothing to overturn Friend. Err the push in the back, leading to another foul, which was AFTER Jack passes. The whistle is in his hand and the ball in the net before it goes. Something stinks.

    I have watched and re watched the video and Friends arms are at his side with whistle in hand as Jack passes to Lansbury, it makes it even worse. The missus is keeping away as I am still that furious over an hour later

    It's been a long long time since football, especially Villa made me this mad. Two things have done it. 1. Our fans utter overreaction to a poor performance, we came up via play offs, we are a massive work in progress which means results and even performances are to be expected. 2. And the bigger of the two is the totally corrupt performance from Kevin Friend. Forget the total bias throughout the game, that decision to book Jack Grealish (who was fouled TWICE) for passing to Lansbury who scored and for it not to go to VAR.

    Why do I have to you said world class not prem class. Personally I have the latter about on a par with likes of Laporte, Maguire, Rudiger, Mina, all decent but nothing 'special'
