  1. What I find more baffling is the "bad management" by McLeish. It was only a couple of days ago where he was quoted as saying that Given will not be guaranteed an immediate return & has to compete for his place as Guzan has been doing well.... to then on Friday announce that he was back in the team automatically as he is Villa's No1 keeper. It is these inconsistent messages/communication, call it what you want that further illustrates poor management.
  2. Hi General, with Villa on the OS advising of the 10 players released from duty at AVFC (the likes of Carew, NRC & Pires due to their specific contracts expiring) can you please clarify who actually decided this & when? Was it GH, was it GM or was it the Board? I appreciate that NRC & Villa could not agree on terms for a new deal (media speculation) but what was the process & who was involved?
  3. Hi General, was this a decision made by AVFC or Nike & what was the thought process in coming to this decision?
  4. What formation we playing? Any news of the fulham team, is Sidwell in?
  5. School boy shite defending, not the usual villa!!
  6. Time to move on in everyone's interest. A great player but we were limited in what we did, at least we now know where we stand & what needs to be done. It should bring out a different approach for the Villa which hopefully is a better, more flexible & creative streak!
  7. Hi General, Just like to add my thoughts to those above about the level professionalism employed by AVFC, cant agree more with what other people have said, when I read the article on the OS it put a massive smile on my face & made me feel real proud! To be fair, if i'm honest, I was very pleased with the news of the imminent signing of young Fabian Delp but hearing from other people who are not AVFC related informing us of how our club conducts itself made me feel even more happier! Well done Gen to all concerned for instilling a level of class, professionalism & dignity throughout AVFC - something money can't buy!!
  8. Hello General, Long time reader here, just wanted to echo other posters & wish you a full recovery from your illness. Your presence here is truly appreciated and your sense of perspective is required to balance people's thoughts & opinions out too!! Just wanted to pick your brains to find out what Randy's & AVFC's long term views are in regards to the development & enhancement of Villa Park. I believe in the past you have mentioned that Randy has no intention of moving the ground & I totally agree with that, at present. I also appreiate that because of the grounds location being in a heavily populated residential area there ultimately will be restrictions in terms of how far you can go to redevelop a ground. What i would like to know is has Randy actually thought of re-locating Villa Park to another part of the City whereby the development of the ground, the logistics of commuting to the ground & the experiene of visiting Villa Park for all concerned is second to none?
