Just watched the game again. We actually weren't that bad before Arsenal scored 2 in a minute. The commentator here in Denmark praised us for being well in the game and then Arsenal scored- what the hell was Lowton doing for that first goal??? The commentators mentioned too that they thought the combination of Gabby and Benteke looks good on paper but they didn't do anything in the way of combining their play together on the pitch. ( I totally agree with this- lack of game intelligence is unreal) Lastly, the tv guys laughed at the fact that they thought Guzan was our playmaker with the long passes. Just thought I'd share the thoughts of the commentators here in DK

Agreed. Everyone keeps saying about Okore but I didn't think he looked as amazing as some are making him out to be in the few games he's played for us. Clarke is much improved this season and I think he deserves his first team spot along with Vlaar. Clowns to the left of them, Jokers to the right n all that haha. Okore is quality.. Thought Vlaar and Clark did really well. I'm not a Baker fan though.

He tries hard but is rubbish- not a premier league player at all

Saw Nowich last year at old trafford. They lost 4-0 However, that day Norwich had to decent players on their team the others were clearly overmatched. Holt and Hoolahan were the two players. I still don't get why Norwich have rejected the two. ( not saying I want them at villa park though)

Agree has looked a bit leggy. He isn't a left mid though is he.

The problem is the fans at villa park don't want possession football. If Agbonlahor played for Liverpool or Arsenal the fans would boo him off the park. At villa park he is a hero. Downing was a great player with us but at Liverpool he was crap- no vision, one footed they said with a poor first touch. We had Richard the hoof Dunne at cb with James the hoof Collins at cb. People thought it was great. Would Arsenal have those two lumps at cb? I actually think Houllier might have succeeded in changing the playing style. Then we replaced him with McCleish. Defend, defend, defend. Lambert, I don't actually think he wants to play like this. He just sees that we can get results with it.
