  1. I'm having the same issue, would be amazing if the full game was available as I can't find it elsewhere. Thanks!
  2. Has there been any fee quoted at all, I know a lot of transfers go through as undisclosed but there's normally a good idea of how much a player cost?
  3. The EFL are in partnership with the mental health charity Mind.
  4. Is Baker suspended due to his red card against Brighton?
  5. First time I've been able to watch us live in a league game for quite a while and it really was worrying, typical Villa to undue all the optimism created by the transfer window. I don't think we can just keep signing players and expect to suddenly click, it's going to take time as we really didn't look a team today. The gulf in class between the passing, pressing and passion between the two teams was startling. Ratings Johnstone - Felt he could have been out quicker for the first goal, flaps at crosses. - 4 Hutton - Still not a footballer, never will be one. - 3 Chester - Nervous every time he had the ball and was caught for the first goal. - 3 Baker - They were just walking past him, loves heading straight to their players. - 2 Amavi - Looks a shell of the player before his injury. - 3 Hourihane - Immensely disappointing, never got on the ball, completely passed him by. - 4 Lansbury - Best passer and at least put his foot in but not a natural DM. - 5 Bjarnason - Game was too quick for him, looked far off the pace. - 4 Green - Bursts of excitement and then let down by basic technical ability. Missed header and poor defensively. - 5 Adomah - Biggest threat down the right but no end product. - 6 Kodjia - Awful miss, very isolated. - 4
  6. I can't believe RDM didn't bring on Jedinak in central midfield, really was baffling leaving ourselves so exposed. Ayew was brilliant, hope this turns a few of his critics around.
  7. Would be very strange as we have specifically said we don't need another 'target man' upfront.
  8. If we had continued that first half performance I really would have been worried for the season ahead but we were far better in that second half and in complete control until we "Villa'ld' it. I think it is important to note that we will only get better too. Amavi will replace Cissokho at left back so we will go from having one of the most ineffective full backs in the league to quite possibly the best one. McCormack's movement looked great and I think he'll score plenty for us, I really hope Tshibola can step up as our midfield is certainly my main worry. A few more positive signings and I think we'll still be strong contenders for promotion. It was amazing how much easier it was to get into good positions that it is in the Premier League. Oh and I also think the Keeper was playing really well until the goal. I was going to mention how much better at kicking the ball he is that Guzan...
  9. He is just coming back from a long injury, alluded to as not being fully fit by Di Matteo but whatever.
  10. Guess that confirms Veretout will go.
  11. Wednesday are known to struggle in the air so there is hope for Rudy yet.
  12. Robert Di Mattero said we only have one injury but also some players are still behind on fitness due to previous injuries in pre season. Undoubtably Adama will fall into one of these two groups.
  13. He is the least natural striker I've seen in my life.
  14. https://www.avfc.co.uk/News/2016/07/09/gollini-on-villa Pierluigi Gollini insists he knows all about the size and stature of Aston Villa – and says promotion to the Premier League is very clear in his mind. Gollini stresses that focusing on the future - rather than the pain of relegation - is paramount in order to have a successful season. He said: “I am very pleased to have joined this great Club. “For me this is a very big opportunity. I am really happy to be here. “I just can’t wait to start, improve myself and show what I can do for this team. “There is no doubt that Aston Villa is a very big Club. I know all about the history of this Club. “Relegation can happen. Everyone can have a bad season. But I think the most important thing is how you react and how you get back. “We will be doing our very best this season – everything we can, in fact – to get back into the Premier League because this is the division Aston Villa deserves to be in.” Gollini has already targeted a tight relationship with the Villa faithful in this and future campaigns. He added: “I can’t wait to play for these Villa fans. I know they are very passionate. “I have been on a tour of the stadium and it really is magnificent. “I can’t imagine what it will be like when it’s full and everyone is cheering us on. I believe that will be very emotional.”
  15. I disagree that he 'flattered to deceive' for us, he carried the team and scored 49 goals in 101 games for a pretty dismal side.
  16. I'm so happy just to be a part of this.
  17. You do realise he had a lengthy ankle injury last season?
  18. I can see it as PR. Today is another instance of the board looking pathetic, pretty damning criticism of Lerner; plus the negativity and discourse between fans and clubs is increasing. There could be more leaks inbound to why they left, plenty of press speculation regardless and maybe there could be more people to leave. I understand that saying the club are pursuing a sale does them no good long term if it isn't true, but a lot of fans will read and concentrate on that for the time being and I think they will have an affect on ticket sales. Then, when we have an uninspiring manager announcement and lacklustre transfer window, there will be plenty of other immediate things for fans to worry about than the sale of the club. Of course, I'm just speculating but I just can't see a takeover happening anytime soon.
