  1. Southampton beat Preston 3-0, they're only three points off Leeds now with a game in hand, and four points off Leicester with them to play. Would be some end to the season if Leeds and Leicester were to drop into the play-offs

    Louie Barry

He missed a penalty but then assisted Stockport's fifth tonight as they beat Notts County 5-2 away from home to clinch the League Two title. Despite penalty miss Stockport fans saying he played very well when he came on.
  3. Barry came off the bench and missed a penalty, but then assisted Stockport's fifth goal. After tonight's win he and Rico Richards are League Champions
  4. Looks like Lucy Parker and Lucy Staniforth might be back sooner than expected, Carla Ward has said they're 'back on the grass' and said ' I would envisage certainly one being back next week and then the following week, the other'

    Arsenal

Losing one game isn't 'bottling it' especially when the defeat was to a very good side who played very well on the day, to say they 'bottled it is to unfairly take credit away from us, and to be fair they didn't even play badly themselves, we had to defend very well first half to keep them out. Last season they bottled it because they were eight points clear in April, but only won three of their last nine, in that run they dropped dropped points to West Ham, and Southampton, and lost to Brighton and Nottingham Forest, that's throwing the title away, not losing one game to the team in fourth place, previous to that they had one ten of their last eleven and the other game was an away draw to Manchester City If come the end of the season they miss out on the title by a couple of points there are worse results they can look back on with bitter regret and wish undone than losing to us, they only took one point off Fulham across two games for example
  6. Just needs one of Sheffield Wednesday or Huddersfield to win next weekend or for these to lose to keep interesting. Obviously if all those things happen even better
  7. That was a very good win, when I saw the line-ups, us not starting Jimoh, or Young, Kellyman not in the squad, and some of the very highly rated players in their team, I thought it might be them beating us by a few goals rather than the other way around. Good to see Pierre get a few and an assist, hopefully does his confidence some good, another two for Moore, quietly having a good season, he might get a loan next season, and goal and an assist for Patterson
  8. 5-1 now, still ten minutes plus injury time to play
  9. Bad control from Muric, but also defenders should never pass straight to the keeper always across, so if they do make a mistake it goes away from the goal
  10. Arsenal take the lead via a Borland own goal, but Kyrie Pierre has just equalized for us

    The NSWE Board

All three new directors have been appointed to all Villa related companies listed on companies house, mens team, the womens team, the stadium, and the foundation
  12. Just looking at their away record, it's the second worst in the league, just three wins and twelve points I don't think it's beyond the realms of possibility that Huddersfield and even Rotherham could beat them. Need Rotherham to be motivated for it though, season over for them, and they might have it somewhere in their minds that it would be better to be relegated with some of the other teams who would perhaps provied less competition for promotion from League One next season
  13. I watched Gary Neville video reaction thing on youtube, and he pointed out that Arsenal losing to us was very different to Liverpool losing to Palace, essentially because we're obviously a good team with a good manager, he also said Arsenal played well, which I think he's right about, we just defended incredibly well first half, and had a plan that worked and in the end deserved our win, but it wasn't because Arsenal bottled it or whatever, as they perhaps have done in the past, if they'd have played like they did yesterday against most teams it would have been a fairly comfortable win
  14. Sarah helped lead the acquisition, ownership syndication and restructuring of the Milwaukee Bucks for Fortress owner, Wes Edens, and co-owner, Marc Lasry. Following the acquisition of the team, Sarah moved to Milwaukee to work on the development of a 725,000 SF arena and 20 acres of surrounding mixed use development. gobrightline
  15. Atairos' investment is in V Sports but the recent directorial appointments are to Aston Villa and all it's related companies, including NSWE Stadium Limited, 1874 Developments Limited, the women's team, and so on, I think there's about ten of them on companies house
  16. Orascom is owned by the Sawiris family
  17. Arsenal should give Spurs a tough game, but we have to look after ourselves, Lille and Bournemouth going to be tough games, in theory we should be favorites against Bournemouth, this week will have taken a lot out of us going into that game, and we have at tims stumbled ths season when we're expected to win, but if we play as well as we can do, then we should give ourselves a chance
  18. I don't think Arsenal were that bad, in fact first half they were very good, if they play like that against most teams they would have had the game won by halftime, because some of their passing and movement was out of this world, they have battered other teams playing like that, but where we played very well ourselves that first half was how well we did defensively, especailly closing them down, and making sure they had as little space in and around the box as possible, of course they had a few chances but they're a top team, so they wlll always create a few opportunities, second half we were better and basically took control of the game, but as Gary Neville said, this wasn't the Arsenal of last season, bottling it at the crucial stage, they just faced a very good team and was a masterclass by Emery in how he set us up, so I think they can and probably will give Spurs a very good game
  19. Hard to say, they're both rated decently, hence playing in the Championship at such young ages, both have gone to struggling teams where it's always tough for loan players to shine, so have to bear that in mind as well, having seen them recently i thought Sousa didn't stand out, but also didn't look out of place, which for a player his age, in a struggling team and on his first loan, is a promising enough sign, Chrisene I thought was actually very good, but mixed with that were a few mistakes that could have cost Blackburn goals
  20. Watched the game now on VillaTV replay, thought he had a really great game
