I'd have left out Vince in favour of Willey to be honest. You can still bring in replacements for injury during the tournament, and frankly I'd fancy Curran or Ali to do more with the bat than Vince anyway. Glad to see Archer makes the squad, he's a joy to watch and a lovely bloke. Sure it's a little cynical, but any other team would have done the same, and our previous 7-year law was well out of step with the ICC. If England are at their best, they win this World Cup. Nobody else has so many potential match-winners in their squad.

I slept in and missed the game, woke up in time for the penalty shoot out. As soon as Steer saved the first and then I saw Jedinak was taking our second I thought that's it, we're through. Shocking miss by Adomah, but at least he had the balls to take one. Steer was brilliant. Taylor and Adomah were poor. Tammy looked rusty, and we were pretty rubbish overall until Hourihane came on. Baggies time-wasting from the start was infuriating. Still, a draw next week sees us through, so I'm happy with that.

Suspect Archer's little cameo in yesterdays aborted ODI has just cemented his spot in the WC and Ashes squads. He's still learning, but he's a real special talent and we'd be mad to leave him out.

Yep. No plan whatsoever for years now other than spend spend spend and hope for the best. Even in the last year or two of Fergie's reign they were buying badly. I feel a little sorry for OGS, as he's inherited a squad that's simply not that good. They need to invest in youth with a plan for the long term rather than chasing the quick fix year after year.

Leeds fans are just losing the plot cos they've watched their team bottle it in the race for automatic promotion and are now realising that there are better teams than them in the mix for the play offs.
