    That’s very helpful. I know positional stuff is not linear and Unai is adaptable, but Moussa is clearly adapting to a different style of play. When it clicks, he’s unplayable. And to be honest, in some games unlucky to score more.

    I agree - in 18 league games, whether starting or sub, he’s been played up front or central attacking mid - not his natural position. He’s had his best success as a right winger. I still think he’s been a success for that reason. He was poor yesterday but a lot of players underperformed. I don’t think the rush by some to write players off is helpful.

    It doesn’t help when Unai keeps playing him out of position. He’s not a second striker.

    This is why England won’t win things. Emi has an elite win at all costs mentality. None of this mythic stiff upper lip crap and faux English stoicism. I bet however if he was still at Arsenal they’d be applauding him more.

    The French league has serious funding problems and allowing the sports washing of PSG free reign has damaged the league greatly. Play acting aside, they made a great atmosphere and gave us a real challenge. It was disappointing to see so many posters calling them an average team. They are anything but. I thought we were the better team in the first leg, but sometimes in football, it won’t go your way. Both legs were a real test of our qualities and indeed shortcomings. But the gaps in wealth mean they always vulnerable to having their top talent taken.

    Klopp got his wish and the FA got rid of FA Cup replays. Great legacy to leave behind.

    I would condemn that too. Especially since Unai speaks so highly of the prestige of the cups. However, this is more on the likes of Klopp, who for years rubbished the cup and replays, refused to attend one and lobbied for them to go.
