I think when he said MON was short term he was referring to giving players huge wages over numerous years and not thinking of the club long term. There was so many poor players in the squad on huge wages when MON left.

Any players who come in don't seem to integrate into the club at all. Answer these questions What does it mean to play for Aston Villa? Which players at the club are Villa men and create an identity for the club? I feel we have been drained as a club throughout the poisonous Lerner era. Ok assuming he sticks to the 3-5-2, one big flaw I saw from last game is what happens if one of our center backs gets injured, we didn't have one on the bench. Then he would have to switch formation if that happens. Seems a fragile formation if that's the case. Yes I know we have Richards somewhere but I rather not have him anywhere near the squad.

It depends how capable the wing backs are, it just seemed Bree didn't get forward much and Bjarnason I had no idea why he was wing back (seemed one of the main reasons we got pinned back in our half). Also would like to add I would love to see Amavi at LWB he could be a revelation in that position.
