  1. To be fair to him, I'm pretty sure Archer and Ramsey each missed relatively easy chances that Madueke set up with solo runs taking on several players in the box.
  2. Have they? Seems like an unusual move.
  3. Particularly us negotiating a higher clause that they are happy with so we don't burn any bridges.
  4. This is what is slightly confusing as, from my limited knowledge, Alemany appears to be the complete opposite.
  5. No thanks to Bono. I'm not a big fan of his music and I can't see him being much better at football.
  6. What a great way to showcase his much lauded 'winners mentality'.
  7. Almost certainly, or they will be soon enough. I watched a clip of Ben Fosters podcast on YouTube the other day with a guy on talking about how De Bruyne hired a stats company to help negotiate his most recent contract incentives. They carried on to talk about it only being a matter of time before agents have statistical profiles on all of their players and start to approach clubs with data showing how they can fit in the respective systems.
  8. To be fair I think there are minimum stadium standards, so I'm not sure the comment was based on snobbery. I could well be wrong though. I thought under pitch heating was a requirement as I remember Craven Cottage didn't have it at one point, but Google suggests I'm wrong on that one.
  9. If whoever is running the club has any sense they will be ploughing most of it into infrastructure.
  10. Levy owns in the region of 30% of ENIC, so he does hold a significant chunk of Tottenham.
  11. He really hasn't been in the game that long. About a year as CEO at Liverpool, less than a year staying on as an advisor then a few years at Chelsea as head of commercial before joining us. As far as the 'football people', I can point you to a fair number of vastly experienced football administrators who have ruined one or more clubs through their terrible decision making.
  12. Probably not, but he will cost us another £6m in wages next year, so we'd only need to sell for £7m plus to break even in FFP terms. Obviously if they feel he needs replacing in the squad the wages for any replacement make it less viable.
  13. I'm joking! I've watched the first few series.
  14. Ok, I get where you're coming from. I'm pretty sure no one actually thinks that though.
  15. I understood your point on that part of it as I'm apathetic to the whole thing too. That doesn't mean people who feel strongly opposed shouldn't retain a right to peaceful protest. I really don't get the relevance of the possibility to get killed/tortured by behaving similarly in other countries though. The only reason I can think of to mention it is to minimise the significance of police arresting peaceful protestors and those that have simply planned to protest.
  16. Is your point that as long as we're not killing and torturing peaceful protestors we should give ourselves a big pat on the back for not being as bad as 'the other guy' and turn a blind eye to any lesser action?
  17. Probably time for Youtube to experiment with AI to help out their auto subtitles.
  18. What on earth is a CVO? ...OK, yeah, I should probably work on my attention span.
