Been some rumours early today that RL left the country again, so plausible he's left for Barbados to meet with Moyes tomorrow at 13.00.

No - he was reply to a post questioning who the guy called MysterMan on Twitter was and wrongly said he was the same as the guy on H&V. Please bother to read the posts before questioning people it's not that hard!!!! Wes' post says exactly the same as yours, period. Read it again.

I'm pretty sure Wes wrote exactly that; that he PRETENDS to be the MM that post on H&V and posted on VT. Read it again.

Bit of pure speculation, but Whelan might have opened his mouth to turn the whole thing into a sort of "one bird in the hand is better than two in the bush" situation for Martinez. If Martinez goes for his interview but doesn't get the job it puts him in a bad light with the Wigan fans and players. Even if he listens to Randy before turning it down it shows he's open to leave. The safe thing to do is to show his loyalty as you say. Don't think Randy is too happy about that ploy by Whelan.
