  1. They are all beatable over 2 legs. We may not have the sprinkling of stardust that Bosnia or Sweden have, but they have poor enough teams beside Dzeko/Ibra. Hungary are definitely beatable, wouldn't fancy going to Kiev in the winter time. Those teams are far preferable to Holland, Turkey or Croatia.
  2. Tonight's results not bad from an Ireland perspective. Ukraine the only potential tricky seed given we've never played them.
  3. It's ok, we all have our pet peeves about how international football operates. For me it's allowing little fake countries into the qualifying groups
  4. Sure buddy. That's exactly what was said. Also the current situation in Northern Ireland is very similar to that of Palestine, so well done you. Did you even read what I typed? Norn Iron players from either background have done exactly what McClean has done in club and international games without all this hullabaloo. Likewise Palestinians in Isreal. Are you so angry about the dastardly McClean that you cannot even comprehend simple sentences?
  5. Seems what McClean does is something that Palestinian players do in Isreal and what a lot of Norn Iron players have done either playing for that national team, or for LOI club teams. All these footballers are obviously not the sharpest tools in the box and should go back to where they came from, right?
  6. You'd swear by the whinging he spent the time that the anthem was playing flicking the V's at the Union Jack.
  7. Not optimistic for today, Strachan has Scotland miles ahead of our lot. A typical Ireland 1-1 win won't be enough.
  8. The only appropriate compensation would have been Henry's severed hand hanging off the Spire. In lieu of that, 5 million is alright.
  9. I've had a few beers and I'm am international fan, nonetheless I love this club, despite the terrible performance today I'm proud that they made it this far, respect to the fans who were there and know that one day, it'll be the turn of AVFC. VILLA VILLA VILLA
  10. A shame but it was always going to happen, it was an aberration that she won it in the first place.
  11. I won't have that, Sammy was on RTE radio an hour ago and sounded like a totally reasonable chappy.
  12. Incredible if true. For historic parallels, even the Irish Home Rule party & Sinn Fein never achieved such local dominance.
  13. I voted Green once, they got into government and the country went bankrupt. Probably just coincidence mind.
  14. Obviously I'd like to see the boy stay with Ireland, and going by his comments last month I think he'll stay with us, but if he fulfills his potential and stars for Villa then there's no hard feelings if he nails his colours to the England mast. Be sweet if he makes his debut for the Senior Ireland team come June mind
  15. Kudos to the players and supporters, they owned Wembley today!
  16. But he isn't British, is he? He's "Irish". Just like Clark is "Irish". Given on the other hand is Irish. There's a difference. Unlucky mate, Clarky is more Irish then Shay. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RfcacfWnwmo
