  1. So we should sign Falco because of his scoring record? Remember Alfonso Alves?
  2. Watch a lot of Portuguesse football do you? Plus the fact, he plays for Porto, would cost an absolute fortune to buy, as you look at any player they have sold, the buying club pays through the nose.
  3. Yeah, 9 goals in 34 games for Wolves is just what we need for our ambitions He was playing up front on his own, in a poor Wolves side, I feel that he would score goals for us. Who would you like us to sign to play up front?
  4. Yes he is. He's brilliant at it. When we played Wolves at Villa Park, I was so impressed by Doyle. He beat Collins in the air to nearly everything, just by positioning himself well so he is definitely a target man of sort. I think Doyle would be a brilliant signing for us.
  5. Lampard has 21 goals in 66 starts for England, that's not to bad is it? Back to the Carrick point by another poster, he has been shocking for two seasons and is definitely not what we need.
  6. It doesn't send out any message, like you said earlier in the thread, players rule these days, and if Milner wants to leave, we get the most money possible. If he want's to stay, he gets a new deal on more money.
  7. Every manager makes mistakes, look at the shit buy's that Ferguson has made in his time as well. Also, why are people so obsessed with comparing us to Spurs, why should anyone on here really give a shit what good and bad buys they have made in comparison to us.
  8. What do you suggest doing then if he wants to leave, and someone is prepared to pay a ridiculous amount of money for him?
  9. I dont expect him to comment on it and neither should be. Press conference is for England and not transfer talk.
  10. Everton paid 15 million for Fellaini, I think it will take a pretty large "cheeky offer" to get him.
  11. Same happened last year with Ashley Young, and I'm sure it will happen next year if we have a player that's wins young player of the year award. Personally, I dont think he will go, not to Man City anyway. As they just buy players, and have no plan for what they want to do with them. I think it's it's Man U, then he woud go, because they will only buy a player they really want. On the plus side, if he does go, at least with Man City interested it will push the price up.
  12. My memory is shocking so I don't remember the JPA stuff to be honest. You are right on Tevez and Mascherano, I just cant see them letting Hart go back and I really hope I am right.
  13. Well he was on the bench before we even got Kiraly on loan, so he must have been a squad member to go on the bench. Link
  14. I dont think they will be allowed to bring back Hart, I just cant see the Premier League allowing it.
  15. We were allowed to do it once, having No.1 and No.2 keepers out, I think we still had Robert Olnic or what ever his name was in the squad, plus other reserve players. However, what wouldn't be right, is been able to bring in another teams first choice keeper.
  16. If Man City are allowed to bring back in Hart as their keeper, then that surely effects the integrity of the Premier League. The only way Blues would allow it, is if they is some kind of financial gain for them, or the promise of a loan of players for next season. Fair play to Blues if they accept it, but surely, no kind of financial agreement should be allowed outside of the transfer window? I cant see Blues letting Man City have their first choice keeper out of the goodness of their heart.
  17. No money should be allowed to exchange hands in the case of the emergency loan, and it's not like you can pay a few million as a back hander. I dont think Man City will get Hart, the Premier League, no mater how week they are would not allow that as the other Premier League clubs would be up in arms, do not forget, that the so called big four certainly dont want Man City to finish 4th due to the power that would give them.
  18. It will be 4-4-2, I would definitely go with Heskey as he will do more defensive work, plus Carew is a good impact player to be able to bring on.
  19. More likely, we signed Collins instead of Distin, do you not think? Yes, it was just complete luck with Milner, it's not like he tried to sign him as soon as he became manager as well. Some **** people!!!
  20. If we manage to beat Chelsea, then it wont take anything away from the final.
  21. I liked Wembley, served beer quickly at half time and before the game, had a cracking view and the atmophere where I was sitting was good. I know that getting away afterwards was meant to be a nightmare but I did pretty well and was back at a pub in Old Street with by before 6.
  22. How would you suggest sorting out the allocation then? Who want's to go the most? Besides, if there are that many season ticket holders that don't want to go, then the tickets will be made available accordingly. No other way to distribute the allocation if you ask me, I would be most annoyed if as a season ticket holder, i didn't get priority over non season tickets holders.
  23. I'm going, but it shouldn't be at Wembley as it's a semi final, however I am looking forward to seeing Villa play in a semi final of the FA Cup, surely that's what you hope for at the start of the season? Still having a chance of appearing in the FA Cup final at this time of year? It's certainly what I hope for anyway.
