  1. Every manager makes mistakes, look at the shit buy's that Ferguson has made in his time as well. Also, why are people so obsessed with comparing us to Spurs, why should anyone on here really give a shit what good and bad buys they have made in comparison to us.
  2. What do you suggest doing then if he wants to leave, and someone is prepared to pay a ridiculous amount of money for him?
  3. I dont expect him to comment on it and neither should be. Press conference is for England and not transfer talk.
  4. Everton paid 15 million for Fellaini, I think it will take a pretty large "cheeky offer" to get him.
  5. Brilliant, it's started earlier than normal!
  6. Same happened last year with Ashley Young, and I'm sure it will happen next year if we have a player that's wins young player of the year award. Personally, I dont think he will go, not to Man City anyway. As they just buy players, and have no plan for what they want to do with them. I think it's it's Man U, then he woud go, because they will only buy a player they really want. On the plus side, if he does go, at least with Man City interested it will push the price up.
  7. My memory is shocking so I don't remember the JPA stuff to be honest. You are right on Tevez and Mascherano, I just cant see them letting Hart go back and I really hope I am right.
  8. Well he was on the bench before we even got Kiraly on loan, so he must have been a squad member to go on the bench. Link
  9. I dont think they will be allowed to bring back Hart, I just cant see the Premier League allowing it.
  10. We were allowed to do it once, having No.1 and No.2 keepers out, I think we still had Robert Olnic or what ever his name was in the squad, plus other reserve players. However, what wouldn't be right, is been able to bring in another teams first choice keeper.
  11. If Man City are allowed to bring back in Hart as their keeper, then that surely effects the integrity of the Premier League. The only way Blues would allow it, is if they is some kind of financial gain for them, or the promise of a loan of players for next season. Fair play to Blues if they accept it, but surely, no kind of financial agreement should be allowed outside of the transfer window? I cant see Blues letting Man City have their first choice keeper out of the goodness of their heart.
  12. No money should be allowed to exchange hands in the case of the emergency loan, and it's not like you can pay a few million as a back hander. I dont think Man City will get Hart, the Premier League, no mater how week they are would not allow that as the other Premier League clubs would be up in arms, do not forget, that the so called big four certainly dont want Man City to finish 4th due to the power that would give them.
  13. More likely, we signed Collins instead of Distin, do you not think? Yes, it was just complete luck with Milner, it's not like he tried to sign him as soon as he became manager as well. Some **** people!!!
  14. If we manage to beat Chelsea, then it wont take anything away from the final.
  15. I liked Wembley, served beer quickly at half time and before the game, had a cracking view and the atmophere where I was sitting was good. I know that getting away afterwards was meant to be a nightmare but I did pretty well and was back at a pub in Old Street with by before 6.
  16. How would you suggest sorting out the allocation then? Who want's to go the most? Besides, if there are that many season ticket holders that don't want to go, then the tickets will be made available accordingly. No other way to distribute the allocation if you ask me, I would be most annoyed if as a season ticket holder, i didn't get priority over non season tickets holders.
  17. I'm going, but it shouldn't be at Wembley as it's a semi final, however I am looking forward to seeing Villa play in a semi final of the FA Cup, surely that's what you hope for at the start of the season? Still having a chance of appearing in the FA Cup final at this time of year? It's certainly what I hope for anyway.
  18. He was probably the best midfielder on the pitch today, especially in the first half. I think that shows that it's who you partner him with on whether he works in a 4-4-2.
  19. Southgate with out doubt, this is a partner for Laursen, and Southgate would have been perfect.
  20. Woooooooaahhh woah woah. As recently as a few years ago...Aaron Hughes, man I despised him playing for us, at least a mistake a game, so bad. Could cross, had nothing else going for him. De la Cruz as well. How you can say Beye is the worst right back you have seen is ridiculous. Aaron Hughes as well, he was terrible, for Fulham on Sunday he showed exactly what he used to do for Villa for Gabby's goal, just back off and back off until they have a shot. Luke Young is better than Beye but we will see how the season pans out.
  21. I have got a feeling for a 2-1 victory.
  22. Hi Gerneral On Saturday the Lichfield Road (A38) was closed in Aston and a there was chaos trying to get to the ground for people coming from North Birmingham area and getting of the M6 at Spagetti Junction. As I am sure people at Villa Park would have known about this, I feel it would have been helpful to put some notification on the website and people would have been able to head to the ground earlier or make alterate arrangements to get to the game. Thanks
  23. Hi General I am a season ticket holder in the Lower Doug Ellis stand. For some unknown reason in the concorse they have changed the procedure for getting a beer. Now they have one person that can take the money and two others to serve the drinks. This have just slowed up the whole process getting a drink at both half time and before the game. Surely it would pay for the club to have more staff on to get the queue down as some people just gave up after a bit and therefore the club are losing out on revenue. One great idea was where there was the seperate stands where people were just selling bottles of beers, this seemed to work well. Thanks
  24. Hi General I will repost this one, you may have missed it due to the barrarge of questions about Gareth Barry, I would be grateful if you could answer. Before the home games, especially on a Saturday at 3pm, why dont you show, and even advertise showing the game that is a kick off at 12.45? Surely this would help generate income by getting people into the ground early other than going to the local pub to watch the game. I know that part of the game is shown, however, myself and some friends went to the ground early to watch Man U v Arsenal a while back, at 1-1 at the game was switched off in the concorse after 70 minutes and just advertising was shown which has happened on a couple of occasions, and all the advertising was of the company that provide the entertainment on the screens, promoting how they supply the content to other clubs in the Premier League, whats the point in that? I think that showing Sky/Setanta game is a good way to get people to go to the ground early, and therefore creating more revenue for the club. Thanks
  25. Hi General I have sent many emails to Villa and am yet to have a response regarding this mater so I would be grateful if you could answer.
