  1. So you are comparing a country that produces almost twice the oil than we do and and a population almost 13 times smaller, hmmm that's about equal then
  2. peaky blinders gets 2.5 m viewers. A bunch bleeding of amateurs jumping into stetchford baths gets 3m. What is the world coming to
  3. I don't think we'll lose. But that's based on so far this weekend the teams from second place down to 7th have all won. So there will be more pressure on Arsenal. And If I had a bet on a 7 horse accumulator, all favourites, there is no possible chance it would come in
  4. His sister had exactly the same Tattoo's, and when she turned over she had Don King in the middle
  5. Apparently it won't affect the quality of service. I think he's playing with fire with this set of ideological cuts. Pun intended. It's putting lives at risk, it's shameful. But surely if there are 50% less fires, but only about 9% cut in fire engines, that sort of make sense doesn't it?
  6. Didn't the report say the number of fires has fallen 50% in the last 10 years?
  7. Niall Quin should only commentate on Swansea games, then he can say Guzman all day long
  8. kev as a big brother, you are entitled to give him a smack once in a while. So could you give him a slap and tell him that's from a few thousand Villa fans, for not wearing pads. We don't want any injuries to him.
  9. well you could move Education, Environment, MOD entirely, Perhaps the only ones you would really need there would be the exchequer and foreign office
  10. easy to solve move, some government departments out of London
  11. we still need to shoot the odd one or two at random, just to keep them on their toes
  12. Incredible. I did almost the exact same thing, except no traffic involved. About 1972. Walking through central Brum, spotted this beautiful woman on the other side, carried on walking while staring, straight into lamppost. Hurt like hell. Somewhat embarrassing. wonder if it was the same girl?
  13. walking down a road one day, there was an absolute stunner walking in the opposite direction. I was happily admiring the view, in a semi discreet way. When she was about 10 feet away, a van went by and honked the horn. I thought, which one of my mates is that, so I turned to glance and walked straight into a bleeding lamppost.
  14. I still think we should shoot one at random every 6 months, until the numbers come down to about 500.
  15. There are some bloody good MPs in the H of C, and some very good ones that have been there for a long while. To kick them out because of some strange rule that they've been there too long seems odd to me. Yes, there are some/quite a few shite ones too. But imposing a time limit on all to discourage a few bad eggs seems wrong to me. I'm sure there are a few good ones but I also think there are thousands of other people out there who could do better. I also think that there are loads of people who are put off because its just too difficult to remove the incumbent. We then get to the position where it becomes a job for life. Intern, mp, house of lords, knighthood. I think far too many of them think this way. Then you are left with the cosy gravy train, union reps and eton old pals get the jobs through networks, not because they are any good
  16. How about paying them the national average wage instead? Couple that with the kind of permissible expense claims private sector companies accept and you may get a better class of person as your MP. Don't see that working really. Whether the individuals mp's are any good is doubtful, however the position carries responsibility. I'm sure the national average covers those jobs at the lower end of the pay scale. I think the position warrants more than that
  17. How about paying them 2.5 or 3 times the average wage, that way if we get more money, they get more money. Also I wouldn't let any of them stand more than 2 terms. That should discourage career polticians.
  18. nah that's just semantics, one mans tedious is another mans repetitive
  19. momo I think you need a history lesson to think it has only been Europeans who have ever conquered.
  20. If not longer - BUT now they have the chances to get it fixed. As said its a whole bunch of massive changes that have happened in a very small amount of time. Done with little retribution against the past regime and done with many more positives than negatives. No country in the world a perfect place to live, but the old SA regime that Mandella and many others led a fight against was certainly a pretty bad place Couldn't agree more Drat
  21. There are 2 points here, One is Mandela was a great man. Massive, I'll bet he's the only global political leader who will be missed by the majority. The second is the state of the country, well that's just the government, he resigned his position 16 years ago. Mandela created a unified SA It will probably take another 20 years to get the rest of it fixed
  22. that's awful Do you really believe greed is essential? Greed? I have a desire to improve the lot of my family, of those around me and the whole planet. I want to improve the conditions for my kids and people I won't ever meet that won't be born until after I'm gone. I can improve the lot of my family by working hard, being innovative, helping the economy, helping the community, pushing good causes, donating time and money where good can be done. I'm no saint, I just believe in basic common good. Enjoy the greed. So basically you just want more.
