Not just LA. Same in pretty much every city in North America. I’ve been in Atlanta, NYC and Vancouver and was amazed at the number of opiate casualties roaming the streets like zombies.
That apart, sounds like you had an awesome trip.
We used to have an Indy coffee shop in our office building. It got purchased by Black Sheep and they offered all the staff the option to stay on. They refused to a man/woman because they were insistent that Black Sheep used vastly inferior beans and their coffee was awful. As we all enjoyed the previous incarnation of the place, we all boycotted too. Plenty better Indy places on Leather Lane for us.
I’ve been to about 70 Brentford games since I last went to Villa Park (in 2013). I’ve also been to Spurs, Arsenal, Chelsea and West Ham multiple times during that period and only one of those was to see Villa.
I really need to sort that out.
Stumbled across this while looking for something else and really enjoyed it. Given the writer/director is Neil Maskell, you can see the Meadows/Wheatley influence but in a really good way.
Colleague of mine went from the Edinburgh office to Orkney at the tail end of Covid. We are still fairly relaxed and most wfh the majority of the time but this one wants her flights and hotel paid for now when she decides to come in. I suspect they'll come to realise quite how dispensable they are in the coming months.
Caught a few minutes of the post office questions this morning. Director of Fujitsu being questioned by Gullis who clearly smells blood and an opportunity to raise his profile by asking some killer questions.
You can probably guess how it went.
Yeah, it’s odd. I was in Rome last year and the fans absolutely worshipped him. I had a great chat with a cabbie who said he was adored by everyone. Seems like a big shift, if it’s true he’s been shown the door.
