  1. Bit like Sunday league football only a day later. Presumably less useless players with hangovers. Exactly. In my experience it was useless players without hangovers.

  3. I've been off the grid for a couple of weeks. What's our best guess on outlay so far? If we're thinking low 40's on income so far, how much of that is left?
  4. Probably more for the "What did I just see?" thread if it hadn't got locked.
  5. First glimpse tonight. I'd have to concur. Magnificent!
  6. I know some in here love it but corny and clichéd pretty much sums it up for me. That's not to say it can't do an admirable job of passing a few hours but it is very lightweight.
  7. Today I've mostly been wondering if they've finished refurbing the toilet block at the east end of the beach at Barry Island.
  8. Can't help but be a bit disappointed he's moving on. The guy could have been a Villa legend if he'd stuck around a few more years, been injured a lot less and been a much better player.
  9. Who? I thought he was talking about this guy:
  10. The fact that I'm still annoyed with the woman in the offie on Billesley Lane who refused to sell me a can of Top Deck because it contained alcohol and I was only 16.
  11. I hope he drops a bottle of salad cream on his foot.
  12. Send them to Africa: http://www.computeraid.org
  13. I have a question. What was the babadook?
  14. OK - It's official. I do not get horror movies. Watched the Babadook tonight and it left me fairly cold. A couple of hair-on-the-back-of-the-neck moments but there wasn't a single surprise in it for me. I had the story pegged from the minute the book appeared and by the end I was a bit bored. I know I'm in the minority on this one but I'm glad to have watched it, even if only to prove that I'm not as much of a scaredy-cat as I thought I was
  15. OK - you guys have sold it. Tonight it is then.
  16. Canada. It was a very nice beach. I was quite impressed. Whereaboots? Fixed You've been there long enough to get the hang of the lingo by now NV.
  17. Seems eminently sensible to me. Why would you want to watch something that will give you nightmares? Watching a film as some sort of test of manhood seems the sort of thing that teenagers do. Ah but if that were the only reason to watch it, I'd not have bothered. I guess it's a sense of intrigue. I love all kinds of films and so many people have said that this is such a good one that I'd like to see why. The only problem is that it's a genre that I don't normally do (for good reason) but I'm still interested to see why so many think it's a good film.
  18. I still can't bring myself to watch The Babadook. It's been on the coffee table for a week now and I just know it's going to freak me out. I'm a grown man in his 40's but I'm too scared to watch a movie because it'll give me nightmares. What a plum!
  19. Big or small company? I've spent the last 6 months reviewing pretty much all the big players in the market so PM me if you need any insight.
