I couldn't watch live but just watched it back and for any one who cares.... Sterling must be the worst successful player I've ever seen. 7&8? possibly 10 attacks break down because he can rarely beat a player and has no sense of when to pass the ball. He has 67 England caps. For the quality he brings that is shocking. Grealish has zero chemistry with anyone in this team. On the odd occasion Mount looked like he could click with him but it never happened. I would argue Target and Conor Hourihane work better with Jack. Pickford has calamity hair. It's the worst hairstyle I've ever seen. He also always has a potential calamity in him at any moment. He's a calamity waiting to happen. As his choice of hairstyle indicates. It's the 3rd game after being together for 10 days and being together all summer but they play like strangers. I would say that is down to terrible coaching and management.

If you're 54 did you get the chance to see Gary Shaw play? Shaw was produced by our great club and was a better footballer than Jack. Also a far more effective player. Won the league and the European Cup. Also the Super Cup. PFA Young player of the year and he won the "Bravo Award" for best U23 player in Europe. He may well have won the Balon d'or if Platini hadn't been winning the French centric competition 3 years in a row. Jack's got a long way to go to match those achievements and if he even gets close to it he certainly won't be wearing a Villa anymore. He's wonderful footballer to watch but he's not the best we've produced, and a far way from the most effective. Nah not for me. As much as I like Steer and how he was great during the Championship run it, Martinez is 3 times the goalkeeper. Arguably in the top 5 in the world at the moment. If he's back and fit he's got to start.

My wife is a violist and the top violin shop/repairer in the USA is in Albuquerque New Mexico. I had no idea of that and I'm a professional musician. Tagging along with her one day my mind was blown. This shop has BILLIONS of dollars of inventory on site in the shape of celli, violins, violas and double basses. They let her try a few different violas that they have in their recital hall while she was waiting for her repair. Now keep in mind that violas are really cheap compared to violins, but the cheapest one she tried that day was $1.4 million. My big take away - I just could not stop imagining a Breaking Bad episode where Walt and co. break in to steal some crazy expensive string instruments. The security they have there must be state of the art. (It's not just the monetary value they have. Fine string instruments are irreplaceable works of art.) But thanks for this Sne - something Mrs. Authority and I will actually enjoy watching together!
