    Tickets

Damn just £459 on Club Wembley. Well I wasn’t going to fly across the ocean and not get anything. Either way, I cannot wait for this.

    Tickets

Got a question since I am a Villa fan living in Toronto, Canada. I booked my flight to London after the game ended. Obviously not a season ticket holder but am desperate to go to this match. I rang up the Villa ticket office and I don’t match the criteria for tickets. Is there any way for me to get a hold of a ticket? Heck, I own a pizza shop and said I’d give the lads free pizza if they progressed! any help would be great. edited: seems the chances are super slim, well whomever doesn’t get a ticket, where else would be a great option to watch?
  3. Ghost, I agree with legov, 5 days is a ton of time to be in Singapore, it is a very very tiny island. I lived there for 16 years and dreaded it and was glad to move out. I do like to visit but not for that long, 3 days is enough, you can get around the city very easily with public transport or taxi. It's so freaking clean you could lick the floor....well maybe not. Food is incredibly inexpensive however booze is incredibly expensive lol. If you are into photography it is a lovely place to go, if you are into partying it does have a huge scene but again it is pricey, if you like to try new foods then you cannot argue that Singapore has the widest and probably best food in the World...yes bold statement but that's the general consensus from a lot of people who visit there! Have fun no matter what but....make sure you do not mess around with the cops or the law, they are really really stingy with that.
  4. To answer that question accurately you would need the definition of 'do well'. Does it mean start regularly, play well regularly, win trophies regularly or just not be a complete arsehole? haha sorry yes it was a very broad answer....I would say that last Villa player that actually went on the accomplish a lot for the club was Dwight Yorke. I guess who became extremely crucial for the team, I guess Barry and Milner can be on the list, but Ashley Young has been a dud, Downing....well ummm no need to explain. Coming from a Canadian, I see this classic move a lot in basketball and hockey where players demand higher pay or are playing for a contract but then when they get the big contract they are an absolute failure because well they got the money. Just sounds like Benteke is hungry only for money rather than for glory.
  5. wondering how many big name Villa departures actually turn out to do well in their new squad?
  6. This is great news, as it was always so difficult to view Villa matches when I grew up in Singapore. I was made fun for being a Villa supporter, the rest of my friends were either Man Utd, Liverpool and then when Arsenal and Chelsea started winning, they came into the picture. But Villa were always the thorn in those big teams arses and I loved it, I just enjoyed teasing those guys. This should be the start of something special for branding purposes, there is a ton of money out there in Asia, lots of billionaires and prospective young millionaires who have money to spend and could be willing to invest! US is not where it is, the economy is still trying to recover the fans are OK.
  7. Because the Portuguese league is a lot smaller than the prem. Even though Liga Sagres is not as prestigious as the BPL, it at least is not a mickey mouse league like Scotland. There are the big 2, then 2 more well known clubs and the rest follows. It becomes pretty boring and unconvincing to win a title when really you crush your opponents all the time. The last time a team other than Porto or Benfica won the league was Sporting Lisbon in 2001. I think you can argue that this player just wants a new challenge. Heck you get a ton of players who play in lesser leagues and in CL but move on to BPL clubs that sit mid table or even lower! Money talks and if you are getting more money playing for a lesser club, you'd probably take it.
  8. Been following this board for many years now, love the information and the passion for Villa. Coming from Toronto Canada and actually started following Villa from my days in Singapore. Back then people laughed at me following this club, wondering why I'm not a Pool, Utd, Arsenal or Chelsea supporter. Quite simply put it, I just started following the club when I saw Dalian Atkinson's wonder goal vs Wimbledon and from then on thought wow fun club
