  1. It’s the slutty dresses she wears, she knows what she’s doing
  2. A month later and not a single death in the 1,285 cases reported outside of Africa, to date.
  3. Great. So we're arguing from the same position.
  4. I have actually watched him play TBF. Edit - and I would absolutely take Nketiah as 3rd choice next season, and Berahino's issue was application not ability. Who was the 4th of the top four U21 goal scorers? I notice you only listed 3?
  5. I'm not sure that's true, he started 7 of the last 10 games.
  6. Exactly. It's either Cameron Archer or another (calculated) gamble with a fancier name and a much bigger price tag. The closest we've got to signing a 'sure thing' in 20 years is Danny Ings. This smacks a little of new toy syndrome to me.
  7. The reality is this 'top class striker' is a fantasy. They don't actually exist yet and whether we have the draw, or realistically the money to buy a nailed on top class striker is for the gods. I can't name them because I don't know enough about European football, but in terms of the Premier League the list of actual strikers who scored 15 goals or more last season is confined to Vardy, Jota, Kane and Ronaldo. You find me the next one of them and I'm in.
  8. He's miles better than the likes of Sanson and Chukwuemeka. His realistic comp would be Ramsey, so would add excellent squad depth as one of two centre mids bought in, assuming we want to move one or two on also. A 'marquee' signing and Ox, whilst moving Sanson and Luiz on has the potential to be a huge upgrade, depending on marquee signing of course.
  9. He said most and also admitted that might not be feasible in every case.
  10. We don't need more "nice guys". We need the opposite.
  11. 100% this. Frankly, I hadn't even heard of Archer before last season, so I can only judge him on the player I see now, rather than the player he was 12+ months ago. But if you had asked me 12 months ago what i though Jacob Ramsey was going to be, I'd have said upper Championship or lower Premier League at best. Turns out, I am almost certainly wrong about his ceiling. We need to normalise being wrong.
  12. Carney wasted his own season by not performing when given the opportunity.
  13. And he’s strong, quick, tricky, nice first touch. Basically the total package without necessarily excelling at any one thing enough that you might pigeon hole him. Oh and he can finish, which is handy for a striker.
  14. Aye. I’m rarely amped up about young strikers until they’ve done it at the top level, I’m a veteran of the Moore brothers. But this kid has that little something extra, he plays with a swagger that belies his years. I really, really like him.
  15. Gone are the days when our academy produced a big pile of steaming hot nothing for nigh on a decade, aside from the one player who couldn’t miss. And we nearly **** it with him.
  16. Looking at the number of goals he scored for Preston is missing the bigger picture. You need to go and ask their fans what they thought of him, they will tell you it’s not just about the raw numbers, he’s got it all.
  17. Let’s put it this way, would anyone be shocked if he ended up at Newcastle? If not, then why not here?
  18. I wouldn’t be that surprised. Being linked with Arsenal is no guarantee you’re actually going to Arsenal, we’ve been there before. I’m not convinced he’s quite as good as the hype might suggest, which is why he’s being linked with Arsenal and not Liverpool or Real Madrid. So probs at the upper end of our reach?
  19. Jesus wouldn’t work as the lone striker in any system we used last season, so we’d have to switch it up, as in keep the ball on the deck, or play him off Watkins. Pumping balls up to Jesus would be absolutely pointless. I don’t rate him particularly highly if I’m honest, every time I’ve watched him he has flattered to deceive, but then lots of well informed people tell me I’m wrong so
  20. What are you basing this on regarding Archer? Vibes?
  21. Oh no, not MULTIPLE PEOPLE disagreeing with me, won't somebody think of the children Chelsea and Arsenal would kill to have Ollie and Ings over what they have now. It isn't that deep that you need to invent an entire mythology around such a simple statement.
  22. I never said they did. Reading comprehension on this website is at an all time low.
  23. Meaningless to me without fans in the ground. That entire seasons deserves an asterisk next to it.
  24. Doesn’t look good to who? We’re not trying to sell him mate.
