Virgin media called me earlier which was a surprise as I was only about 2 months into a new contract. Currently I have all the base channels, plus TNT Sports, plus 350mb broadband (plus a landline which I don’t use) and pay £56 a month. Lady calls me and gives the spiel about special customer etc and they have a great offer for me… ok let’s see. She offered all the base channels, TNT Sports, Sky Sports, Sky Movies, Movies/Sports in HD (cheeky buggers don’t give that as standard), 500mb broadband, some free calls on the landline I won’t use, some other “home works” package they offer with priority repairs and gadget cover all for £68 a month fixed for 18 months. A great deal I thought. Full price should be £185 a month believe it or not. I’ll have to definitely make sure I renegotiate before this deal expires as I’m not paying £185!

I am really pinning my hopes on Labour having some ideas to get realigned with the EU in one way or another. It might be a pipe dream, but realistically life in the UK isn’t going to improve anytime soon unless we do.

I remember one of the arguments for Brexit was that all the stuff we were reliant on Europe for would now get made here and spawn all these new industries (which we could then compete with Europe on in other markets). I can’t say I’ve noticed much of that going on if I’m honest. It was a nice idea though.

Just open an account and then create a savings “pot” labelled “savings for Stefan Jnr” and drop money into it as and when you like. If there was some kind of emergency you could then borrow from it easily if needed. Thats the easiest way. There are probably ways to get more interest but we found that opening accounts specifically in children’s names is a bloody nightmare with admin, paperwork, ID, access etc.

People shouldn’t have to deny themselves watching teams like Real Madrid play just because City are cheats. As I mentioned before, it should chanted and bannered (is that a word?) every where they go until the players and the staff are embarrassed to be associated with them.
