  1. I checked the 5 times a season, but shouldn't have done it all. Living in Finland five Villa games a season is not that bad!
  2. General, I live in Finland and went to the game vs Pompey with my family. We all had a lovely time, not least thanks to your Radio Villan man Steve Trueman, who is a real top man regarding arranging things for visitors from abroad. However, we went to the city centre club shop on the Sunday (19:th) at 3:15 pm, just to find it closed at 3 pm. That was a big disappointment, since www.avfc.co.uk stated the shop would be open to 4pm! Home page and reality must be synchronized, especially since we would have emptied our wallets I hope the club can rectify this, so that other people from outside Birmingham are not met with a closed sign.
  3. BOF you are a complete nut. So am I, as I created the villamatches site
  4. General, visited the Holte first time and it was very impressive! The service was excellent too! I'm disappointed about one thing though: It was last Saturday (non-match day of course) and after a wallet emptying visit in the shop I strode over to the Holte for a pint and some lunch. But, unfortunately there was absolutely nothing to eat! Quite shocking I must say. I can understand that there are not that many customers on a non-match day, but if we can't keep warm food because of that at least baguettes could be on offer. Greetings from a Villafan from Finland!
  5. Excellent article John! Would be interesting to hear the views of the person who took initiative to the statue, though.
  6. General, This greeting is coming from Finland and if you ever come to Finland or Sweden, get in touch and a pint you shall have! A warm welcome to you, MON and Randy! We were all seeing relegation looming, so now it feels like being saved on the brink. And to see a member of the Board communicating with fans on forums like this, well, it must be unheard of! Very, very impressive! The one thing I'm noticing when visiting Birmingham is that the city centre Villa shop is in the basement under that Virigin store with few signs telling it is there. The range of products on the shelves aren't very extensive either. Of course our shop should be with a window to new street and visible to every one passing by! And surely we would want to see Villa tops in all major sports shops. Not only in the UK, but also other parts of the world. I guess you are looking into these issues already Up the Villa!!
  7. Strange this. A person working at Villa called VillaSweden 2 hours ago, according to their website, and said there's something happening today, but it feels like it's off the mark.
  8. Well, then we won't see anything happening today
  9. Met Tegis and Big Steffe. Possibly met some others of you as I took part in the VillaSweden vs England game in the park behind pub King Edward whatever it's number was after the WBA game in April. Me and a mate played for England as we refused to play for Sweden (local rivalry from us Finns). Under influence of loads of beer I was quite vocal and thought I was captain Mortimer and tried to spur England to victory, as we eventually beat the Swedes 4-2. Well, if any of you were there you'll notice the scenario... 8)
