the fact that an MMA fighter, with 1 previous professional fight (and the first was against Fury - wtf), gets to fight on such a stage, and have such a big deal made of it, tbh, shows what a joke boxing has become.

Not putting down, Ngannou, good for him, but it does highlight what a state boxing is in, when an ex MMA fighter and Jake Paul are pulling a lot of the boxing headlines.

Outside of one or two fighters, boxing is a joke these days, its more pantomime than WWE.

Also proves how overrated MMA striking is. We were told this man was granet and unable to be hurt. Utter nonsense you get hit by a heavyweight on the chin you go down. His boxing was poor and was biting on every faint.

Fury either rocked up not training and not taking it seriously or is nowhere near as good as we thought or probably all 3.

Hit the post, scored 3, had 6 shots on target vs 1 from Palace, and as you say dominated possession.

We’d be livid if we’d done that and not walked away with all 3 points.

Very similar to our game vs them at VP imo.

Cant wait to see how his media mates try to cover for him being sacked from this job

He won’t get sacked he’s not there to be successful, he’s there to be a name.

A likely story, I’m sure. Imagine how many seats you’d have to buy for there not to be any kids within earshot or sight line. If he paid for three in front, one each side and three behind, a block of 9 minus his. That’s 8 tickets and you’d still have people sat just a few feet away. Over £200 on a plan that wouldn’t work. That’s a months’ wages for a lot of small heaths.

    What a bellend!

From what I remember it was a few years ago it was kids for a quid or something like that. What a prick.

How Richards has made it as a pundit I do not know. He's even worse at that than he was playing for us.

He’s made it as city have only been relevant for 15 years and have no players in the pundit space. As he retired early he had a free run.

I don’t mind him in small doses, he has great charisma, but his actual punditry is very poor. He’s more a figure of fun rather than a great pundit.

Who from that time period is then?

No one. Benteke has done more for us he’s not a legend. Smith isn’t a legend.

This club has won major trophies, legends need more than promotion and a good 18 months in the premier league.

You either need to have win a major trophy,, have over 300 games or be so good over a 4/5 year period.

  7. I can remember years ago a rare Tom Ross win while co coming a game with Jonathan Pearce when Pearce was the london commentator Ross the birmingham representative. Pearce wanted Townsend sent off for absolutely nothing, there was a back and forth between Pearce and Ross when Ross said something along the lines of "i dont say things for saying things sake i dont need to overexaggerate everything i say what i see" it clearly pissed off Pearce for the rest of the commentary. Ive always remembered it for some reason.

I'm really not sure how it's Delph like. Delph left about a week after saying he was staying.

Grealish just maintained he was a Villa fan, and still does.

Plenty of players who would call themselves Villa fans play a lot of their career away from the club, and the one recent notable Villa fan who spent his entire career here is wildly unpopular.

For me Delph was more genuinely conflicted he couldn't make his mind up...Jack left like a flash. I honestly think Delph gets more stick than he deserves.

United are bloody annoying, been absolutely dog turd all season yet somehow may be 1/4 points behind us tomorrow.

Im not worried theyve scraped past luton, Sheff united, Brentford and Fulham by the finest of margins getting spanked by decent teams in between.

  10. Im not overly worried until the summer. when we get past 2 years remaining however the ball starts to fall in the players court a lot more. Theres big clubs out there without a decent striker who will pay £40=50 for him in the summer.
