  1. Annoying, especially when Brentford players had been getting away with worse all game. Should have had Ajer on the back of his shirt, then he'd be fine

    Ezri Konsa

He's been ropey since he came back from injury Bullied against Luton for their first, easily beaten for Spurs first and then played the hospital pass for their 2nd, and then all over the place today. Their first goal, it all starts from them having a throw in on our right, and he's just standing 10 yards inside our box doing nothing, meaning Digne has to stay out on the right and we have one less in the box to defend the cross in.
  3. Disasterclass defensively today
  4. Rogers, Watkins and Mcginn good Everyone else and the manager terrible Luton, Forest, Burnley and now Brentford - relegation threatened teams who we've let back into games. Becoming a pattern and its not good enough. Just pure laziness, Brentford didn't even have to do anything special. Their 3rd was atrocious, every switched off for the quickly taken fk Ref was a joke
  5. Shocking from the Brentford keeper (thankfully)
  6. Disgrace A pathetic shambles and Emery has sat on his arse and watched it happen Disgusting, cowardly bottlers
  7. pathetic Disgusting from Torres, just standing there Just like Forest, and Luton, and Burnley, and Man U away Pure laziness, thought they had the game won Disgraceful
  8. switched off on the initial throw in Konsa just standing off so Digne has to stay out on the right, gets beaten easily and we have one less in the box
  9. that first touch to move it inside onto his left foot was superb
  10. Overall a decent enough half. Brentford basically have their entire side camped within 30 yards of their goal, so its always going to be tough to break that down. We kept calm, carried on trying to work openings, and eventually got rewarded
  11. I've never understood players getting upset if the ref blows for time when their team is attacking. So, what, if time is up, its up. How is it fair on the other team if they are having to defend when the half/game should be over?
  12. over the line on the initial header i think
  13. what was that free kick? Take the extra touch giving the defender the time to get out and block? complete waste
  14. What a crazy game Both sides were terrible; zero structure, unforced errors all over the place. Made it fun to watch though
  15. Some interesting defending there by Chelsea; Mudryk just watching Fernandes stroll away from him to score at the back post. This match must have some of the worst value for money signings in the whole league - Caicedo, Mudryk, Anthony, Cucarella
  16. Yep, there's a reason why managers like Emery, Klopp, Pep etc are able to get teams deeper into European competitions while not severely compromising league form - because they look at the long term, overall picture, and they know that sometimes you have to take a short term hit to benefit in the long run. Whether that's lineups, tactics etc, they can all have teams throw in bad results e.g. a few years ago Klopp persisted with his high line setup even with injuries meaning he had to play Nat Phillips who was wholly unsuited to that setup, and it cost them at times. But he was looking at the overall picture of how the whole team worked and developed long term. Pep does weird stuff at times, and its cost him on the biggest stage (his strikerless line up when he lost the champions league final to chelsea), but has the squad to get away with it more often. In contrast you look at the effect Europe had on West Ham last season finishing 14th in the league, because Moyes doesn't know how to control games to manage player workload (actively cedes control meaning lots of chasing defensively and for the forwards chasing down long balls) and the impact the extra European games has had on Newcastle's league form this season because Howe doesn't seem to know anything but going all out in every single game.
  17. Konsa's goal i think Nice battling by Duran and Zaniolo in the build up
  18. Pure laziness atm, awful passing Tielemans a min or 2 ago, then Carlos passing to Konsa
  19. Sloppy start to the 2nd half as per usual
  20. Just let him walz all the way through there ffs
