  1. Hoping for a big game from the trio of McGinn, Tielemans and Luiz after saturday. I know McGinn and Tielemans got assists, but i wasn't too impressed overall and they went completely missing when the going got tough. They are highly experienced players who should have been the ones to take charge and wrestle back control. Luiz has got himself a rest for our next two league games so no excuses for not being 100% on it tonight
  2. Absolutely mental some of the chances Liverpool have missed
  3. **** off Klopp you piano key toothed word removed
  4. Bloody Liverpool always clinical against us, missing great chances against Man U
  5. Neither side appears to have a midfield, pretty end to end
  6. Surprising to see so many unforced errors from Liverpool

    Ezri Konsa

Tbf like with Pau, i'm not convinced he's 100% fit He's been making quite a few uncharacteristic errors since he returned

    Unai Emery

I think if everyone was to take a step back and look overall at where we've come from and the squad we have, particularly given the injuries, he's had us overachieving. And i don't think the injury issues can be overlooked, particularly when it comes to the goals we are conceding lately. We had a ropey first few games defensively, but then we'd lost our best defensive defender and best pressing midfielder/forward for the year by the time the season was 20 minutes old. Lots of plans straight out the window there. However, after the Liverpool game, we played 14 in the league up to boxing day and only let in 13 goals, 10 wins, 3 draws, just 1 loss. We had a settled team, in particularly the back line and midfield, with Pau up to speed, Tielemans fully fit etc. Then injuries, suspensions etc started to bite, and since then we've also had 14 games, but this time 27 goals let in, 6 wins, 3 draws, 5 losses. Its no coincidence that we've been so much poorer at the back given the constantly changing back line; we've had games having to play our emergency left back cover at RB. Add in losing our top DM meaning enhanced workload for the likes of Luiz and its been a perfect storm. It seems like everytime we get someone back, we lose someone else. If Unai gets us over the line into the Champions League given everything that has gone on then to quote @Tomaszk 'build the statue'.

    Ezri Konsa

what was he doing on the first goal? Think we'd just cleared a corner for a throw in so Digne was still out on the right, but Konsa didn't react to the situation and put himself in complete no mans land, leaving 3 against 2 in the box. You can see Pau motioning for him to drop in but he never does. that said, Tielemans and Digne's bodyshape are awful, just inviting the run down the line and obviously going to get caught flat footed.
  10. Watching again, i just can't work out what he was doing for their 2nd. Was in a decent position, checked his shoulder so knew Mbeumo was there, and then just left it. Really odd
  11. Annoying, especially when Brentford players had been getting away with worse all game. Should have had Ajer on the back of his shirt, then he'd be fine

He's been ropey since he came back from injury Bullied against Luton for their first, easily beaten for Spurs first and then played the hospital pass for their 2nd, and then all over the place today. Their first goal, it all starts from them having a throw in on our right, and he's just standing 10 yards inside our box doing nothing, meaning Digne has to stay out on the right and we have one less in the box to defend the cross in.
  13. Disasterclass defensively today
  14. Rogers, Watkins and Mcginn good Everyone else and the manager terrible Luton, Forest, Burnley and now Brentford - relegation threatened teams who we've let back into games. Becoming a pattern and its not good enough. Just pure laziness, Brentford didn't even have to do anything special. Their 3rd was atrocious, every switched off for the quickly taken fk Ref was a joke
  15. Shocking from the Brentford keeper (thankfully)
  16. Disgrace A pathetic shambles and Emery has sat on his arse and watched it happen Disgusting, cowardly bottlers
  17. pathetic Disgusting from Torres, just standing there Just like Forest, and Luton, and Burnley, and Man U away Pure laziness, thought they had the game won Disgraceful
  18. switched off on the initial throw in Konsa just standing off so Digne has to stay out on the right, gets beaten easily and we have one less in the box
  19. that first touch to move it inside onto his left foot was superb
  20. Overall a decent enough half. Brentford basically have their entire side camped within 30 yards of their goal, so its always going to be tough to break that down. We kept calm, carried on trying to work openings, and eventually got rewarded
