  1. More from Stan. Think he still loves us!
  2. Er no, I think it's a very bad thing. No good will come of it. Also, really, I don't think N'Zog is the person to be spearheading any player revolt against McLeish since he has looked half-arsed all season and has generally played like a pub player.
  3. Looks like some of the fans are telling him the way it is too!
  4. He was getting into good positions today but he needs to learn look up to see what his team mates are doing, rather than blasting cluelessly in the vague direction of the goal whenever he gets in sight. The one time he did pass to a fellow player we scored! Not sure I would have taken him off tbh.
  5. TalkSport claimed he said it to Pardew.
  6. Absloutely this. I'm missing the excitement of last season'e relegation scare.
  7. Because he told Pardew to "**** off" and was taken off as a disciplinary measure. According to Talksport.
  8. Can you expalin exactly how losing this match would get us a new manager, owner and squad?
  9. Next game can we please not play against anyone called Cisse making their debut?
  10. Yeh, cos McLeish failed to fire them up for the second half against QPR as well, didn't he?
  11. Swearing at your manager is totally acceptable. (if true) They've just said on Talksport he told PARDEW to "**** off". Some bad blood from his troubled loan spell with Newcastle last season apparently. If true, interesting decision by AM!!
  12. Think Pardew has told them just to attack at all costs & rely on Villa errors in defence. Nervous start!
  13. And well done to Zog for finally realising you just have to pass it to one of our two free scoring forwards and not try to do it all yourself. It only took him 45 minutes to get that. Oh, and if McLeish doesn't take Warnock off at half time he's a fool.
  14. N'Zogbia can be a bit clueless at times. Use your colleagues better!
  15. At Villa, of course, MON's best season was his last one (highest league points, cup final, cup semifinal), This was the point at which the team was very clearly "his". Doesn't that rather bugger up your argumnent?
  16. This suggests pretty clearly that McLeish doesn't have dropping Warnock in mind
  17. Now, you did that one on purpose, didn't you? :winkold:
  18. Well, we spent around the 6th highest amount in the premier league and we got to 6th place three times so I question the judgment that this money was "wasted". When you think of some of the stars we got into the squad, it was a pretty good time to be a Villa fan. Lerner couldn't sustain it, though, could he? So we have just been through a spell of "boom and bust". I would far rather Lerner had managed the money more realistically but you can hardly blame MON for spending what he was given to try to achieve the objective of challenging the top 4. He's at a club now where it looks like the chairman has a better grasp on financial reality and, for those who say MON only takes jobs where he is in complete control of the money side, note carefully that this has NOT happened at Sunderland.
  19. Chrissake, it's not the first time ever a player has moved to a club and it didn 't work out - who at the moment is paying for Makoun to warm the bench at Olympiakos, for example? I sometimes think a lot of the posters on here must only have stumbled upon top flight English football in the past couple of months and haven't quite worked out how it all works yet.
  20. Hmm. Just trying to imagine what a really great thread about McLeish would be like...
