Football for all its money still needs to be accessible and sell to a wider audience and be marketable. Saudi Arabia’s isn’t even an accessible country culturally let alone drawing in capacity crowds from abroad fans which the PL does offer for the big teams. Saudi will be making multiple billions a year in losses for well over a decade to even get 30% of the PL. sure they have the cash to try it but do they want to burn £100-200bn trying? Seems a bit of a stretch. MLS got a deal with apple at 2.5bn not even half the PL and they’ve been working hard for two decades to make that work, in a far far bigger sporting nation than Saudi. more money than brains I think

Given our fixtures next year and our lack of strikers, not keeping him for games and loaning him would be thick. if we wanted to buy a young striker tearing it up like him in 2023 it would cost us over £20m

It’s potentially over 33% more football so our squad needs 33% more quality on the bench etc. what I mean is we need to increase our first team quality players by 33%. At least 1 new striker, 1 new winger and 1 new CM and 1 new CB. we need to replace Young and need another CB to give us four decent options. need a good backup keeper too. so 6 new players of first team quality at what, £25m a pop? £150m required I reckon

He’s as good as McGinn, I’ve watched a lot of Leicester last few seasons as neighbour supports them (any excuse for a beer and football etc). he’s tenacious, great passer not just good. Loves a tackle, but he definitely is the engine of Leicester, it isn’t Maddison. if he’s free it’s an absolute no brainer, not even worth a discussion. Get him in. he would definitely be good enough to be competing to be starting games and that’s what we need. out of all the Leicester players, he is top of the list.

We have Archer who is more than capable, I don’t think we need a striker as a priority. however good Unai is West Ham didn’t really add much to their squad and their schedule clearly impacted their season, positively in the cup but negatively in the league. polished turd or not, if we want a decent cup run across all three cups we need more players, not least the increased probability of injuries.

We have to be smart here, we need to keep Archer and other youth players and we need to get a couple of top championship players for squad positions and competition. we need 1-2 big signings of genuine quality. we need depth, we have the quality in some good areas. They cannot play all the games we will have next year. Rotation will be significant.

Hamer is quality for Coventry, seen a few of their games. He’d be useful in PL as a squad player for sure. I don’t think he will be in the championship for long

If Leicester go down him, Tielmens and Maddison would all be good enough, but the question will be the fees. if the price is right…. COME ON DOWN

If we manage to get Europa group stages and we want good cup runs it’s damn obvious we need Archer. we need competition and Watkins has zero right now. there’s absolute no chance Watkins can play every cup, European and PL game and what happens if he gets injured? Archers has a goal and assist every 75 minutes in the championship, that puts him in the top 5 attackers in the whole of that league, if he maintains that until the end of the season. Selling him wouldn’t be very clever, because I’d rather keep him and spend £50-60m on other positions where we don’t have enough depth or want to better the current top player in that position. right wing - Bailey and Traore good, but inconsistent and injury prone. Rather spend a huge wedge on a player there

In the modern world the logo has to translate from print to digital to clothing, otherwise there’s no consistency and will look utter rubbish. whatever they come up with, they can’t have it different anywhere it’s used, will look very amateurish. I don’t mind the current logo but did like the old one too.

Give him another season at Preston if he’s enjoying it. then he will be ready if he hits 20 goals in a season and we can cash in on one of our strikers. unless he is coming back to play regularly he’s young enough to loan for another season and learn his craft a bit more

I’m sorry it’s a league game, league cup maybe but unless he’s carrying in injury it’s a disgrace. Luckily for us almost all results went against us today, but it was worth up to £8m in prize money for us at kick off.

How novel that a club I thought had similar connotations to villa years ago threatened with relegation. and how with us playing Burnley twice. Their fate is quite literally in our hands. I hope for them and us we hammer Burnley twice and give them the chance to get ahead of them

We need a run not just one win. hoping we can string 2-3 wins together and confidence is back. I know the league table is congested up to 8th really. we lost our momentum and it is very frustrating. Not for relegation but we want to keep the like of Coutinho and bring in more players. Harder to do when you finish 16th rather than 8th.
