  1. That's pretty much the view held by the Parliamentary Labour Party - and they're not wrong. For all the compromises Blair made to get power - He achieved more than those who just spout off left wing idealism. I think some members of the labour party are what I call political hobbyists - they actually prefer to be in opposition because they can spout off intellectual political theories - without ever having to put them into practice. We aren't suddenly going to go from Centre Right - to extreme left. (even if I do like some of those principles) What did Bliar actually achieve? I know he lobbed up some shit policies that are now being smashed back at us. He achieved very little of any worth He achieved an almost completely unregulated financial sector He went to war illegally Please don't tell me about the minimum wage which was set so low as to be irrelevant. In fact its been used as a yard stick to keep wages down, even this bunch of Tories want to see it higher. I am curious as to what you think he achieved Education, Education, Education! If it wasn't for Blair, myself and my friends wouldn't have been able to afford to have gone to University. On the flip side if it wasn't for Blair a University degree might of actually been worth the paper it was written on and you wouldn't have had so many wasters doing mickey mouse degrees like Media Studies, Music, David Beckham Studies, etc.
  2. Just bumping this question. I assume Ruge missed it. Daft question though tbf. How can you compare Rugeley's 'anti Islam' stance to the slaughter of thousands of Christians in various parts of the world. Not surprised he didn't reply.
  3. 'If you look at migration figures, Muslims who come over don't just come in and sit on the dole' It actually says that in these 'migration figures'? Or you just made it up??? Wasn't really Ruge's point either.
  4. Not even hiding it. They announced back in Feb that they would unleash 500,000 refugees on Europe and infiltrate their fighters amongst them. They've also explicitly said they intend to attack the Vatican - because they hate Christianity, obviously. Hope those Swiss guards have put an edge on their pikes! Yep Europe is ****. Genuine refugees my arse. A UN report showed over 70% of these refugees were single males. Not the women and children the media portray. Opportunistic, alot ain't even Syrian. Honestly some of the loons in here are that insane they would invite a terrorist round for a nice cuppa.
  5. If someone offered £5 million for him today. I'd happily take a £5 million hit on him after only 3 games.....He really was that bad against County. One of the worst performances I've seen from a Villa player considering the opposition.
  6. Wow what a fun game that was! Adama was incredible at times, very very greedy at other times. Still so raw but my gosh he has so much talent. Most exciting player I've seen in a Villa shirt in a long time. Grealish was majestic, Gil was excellent. Even Sanchez who I've never rated was decent. Nice little cameo from Joe Cole as well. He still offers a lot to our team. Not sure about Veretout. Was a rabbit in headlights again in the first half bit the second half he did improve tbf and showed glimpses of talent. NOW Ayew. Sorry but we have brought a dud there. Awful. Awful. AWFUL! Lazy, disinterested, ALWAYS offside. Doesn't offer anything to us at all. Shocking performance. Bunn looks dodgy as well and Baker just isn't good enough for us. Lots of positives and equally lots of negatives. Great game though.
  7. Palace have the best fans in the Premiership by FAR.
  8. Harewood was interesting. He had a very good year for newly promoted West ham, then the following year he was really bad. Like exceptionally bad. Then we bought him. And to be fair on Charlie Austin, he has been scoring loads of goals for season after season. Yes it was in lower divisions, but we bought Gestede because he scored a lot of goals in a lower division. Austin at least scored a lot of goals in the premiership. I think we should trying a 13 million bid. We desperately need someone like Austin up top. That was kind of the point I was making, it is entirely possible that Austin could follow up last season with a 2nd season like Harewood's. As it happens I think Austin is a decent player and unlikely to be a one season wonder but its a lot of money to have to offer to find out, especially given his questionable medical condition. As for £13m, weren't Leicester reported to have had a bid of that amount turned down earlier this summer? How is £15 million for a proven (yes one season but still did it at the top level for a shite team ) English goal scorer in the prime of his career a lot of money?? Yet I bet you didn't say £10 million was alot for Ayew a guy who let's face it has NEVER proven to be a goalscorer even in a championship standard league like the French. I swear people on here have an agenda against English players. If he was called Austinhio from Brazil who had one great season you wouldn't be saying he was over priced. Yet if its an English playet its the same old 'ooo one season wonder remember Marcus Stewart, blah'. Benteke had one good season yet when Tottenham were meant to be set to bid £20 million people on here were saying it wasnt enough. £15 million for Austin a 26 year old who scored 18 goals last year in the premiership is a more then fair price.
  9. A guy called Charlie Austin meets all those requirements. Proven premiership goalscorer who will guarantee goals. In before the VT hipsters who have never even seen these players play other then on football manager name Embolo, etc. Proven?? He did it for one season.. Second season syndrome and all that!! Marcus Stewart banged in loads for Ipswich in his first season in Premiership something like 25.. but he went off boil after and many other examples (Michael Ricketts and others) I think Benik Afobe would be a better option than Austin.. So you say no to Austin as he only did it for one season then you go mention a guy who has NEVER done it in any season in the premiership or even the top level of any league. Okayyyyyyyyy.

  11. for that kind of money though we could get embolo or oulareBoth of whom I bet my left testicle you have never seen play. I'll post you a bollock. I hadn't seen any of our new (foreign) signings play before they joined us but I cant help jumping on board the excitement wagon when everyone here shares their opinions and youtube vids. Edit: may as well state for the record as well that I havent seen balanta or nkoulou play either. My knowledge of those two only comes from FM14 & FM15 Ha fair play! At least you're honest about not seeing these players play unlike alot on here. .
  12. for that kind of money though we could get embolo or oulare Both of whom I bet my left testicle you have never seen play.
  13. But yet a far better player then Sanchez. But so is my Nan.
  14. Wouldn't mind Joey Barton tbh. Let's face it Sanchez is complete turd. Rather we got £2 million plus for Sanchez to put towards a striker or defender and got in Barton (if he reduced his wage demands which I'm sure he would) on a free. Perfect experienced back up for Westwood and he really is a half decent player. As no one is in for Austin I wonder what the chances are of getting him on loan?? I'm sure QPR would rather accept a large loan fee then lose him for nothing in the summer. .
  15. What a stupid article. Not saying we're definitely going to do well but I'm much happier with really highly rated players like Amavi, Gueye and Veretout than overrated PL plodders like Huddlestone.Highly rated players of which 99% of people have never heard of in a tin pot league that is the equivalent of the championship bar one or two teams. No one whether Villa fans or no nothing journalists can predict how well or badly we will do this year as our team now is a complete unknown so pointless predicting. Ligue 1 is hardly a "tin pot league". Players like Gueye, Ayew, Veretout and Amavi are blatantly not Championship standard. How do you know they are not Championship standard? Have you seen them play regularly? Not trying to be obtuse but makes me smile that all of a sudden alot of Villa fans are now French football experts and seem so confident that we have signed such high quality players when outside of Villa fans nobody has heard of any of them. Very worrying tbh...and exciting at the same time. .

  17. -------------------Given------------------- --Lowton----Herd----Vlaar----Luna--- --Sylla--Delph--Cleverley--Weimann-- ---------Benteke-------Bent-------------- Subs To Be Continued… Stevens Helenius With the financial fair play thing now in that's a lot of high earners we have got rid of there. Obviously means we can still bring in several more players in with the extra wage budget we now have. I bet the wages Bent earned alone cover both Gueye's and Ayew's who I suspect can't be on much more then £30k a week each.
  18. This has to be satire surely?Least someone got it :-) All the moans before we signed anyone was from people slating Tim that we were linked to overpriced Premiership players like Townsend. Comments on twitter now is Villa fans moaning about us not signing players like Townsend and instead signing players from the French league. Never happy. . SWITCH ALERT!!!!! like what you did there! Politician in the making!! It's always fun to see the same old uptight fishies take a bite :-)

  20. All a bit depressing really. We are becoming the new Newcastle United signing all these French / African players from the crappy French league that come with promise but 9 times out of 10 end up being shite. FFS Tim. Stop being clever and stick to what you know and sign some known Premiership players like Austin, Berainho,Townsend etc.
  21. LOLZ!! No point even posting on this forum no more. Seriously you guys live on a another planet if you think after what happened last week especially it's acceptable to walk around with an ISIS flag in daylight without arrest. No wonder no one posts on here no more...(I'm done).
  22. A man was seen today walking around houses of parliament with an IS flag and the police refused to arrest him. This liberal, softly softly touch is killing this country for sure. No doubt the usual cuckoos will cry 'but what about freedom of speech zzzzzzzzz' Sod that. If it's hypocritical then so what. Common sense needs to prevail and we can't allow stuff like this to continue. .
  23. What exactly has Hutton done wrong to see his stock fall so greatly over the last couple of months??? Seems a great need for a new right back if media reports are correct and also seen bits of negativity on here about him. Really don't get it??? Up into Christmas he was tremendous. Really bloody brilliant. Easily our best player along with Clark and arguably one of the most in form right backs in the premiership at that time. Injury and suspension later he struggled to get back in the team with Bacuna's good form. Fair enough. He didnt look as good the second half of the season but still pretty decent. Why has opinion changed so much???
  24. The BBC trying to push the Woman's World Cup on us. It's shit and the truth is no one wants to watch it and no one gives a shit except for a very very small minority of people (the same amount of people who probably watch Bowls). But yet endless adverts and non stop talk on Radio 5. It's laughable.
