  1. I didn't realise Iroegbunam and Rogers were Villa fans?
  2. I’ve got my normal season ticket seat but did consider the Lower Grounds as a one off. Given how much cheaper the usual ticket is the Lower Grounds is still £110.
  3. Yup just saw that. Annoying but luckily Germany have no teams in the UECL so we are adding some bonus points.
  4. 2 for a win, 1 for a draw and 1 for round progression. Those points then divided by the number of teams from your country that were originally in the various tournaments. So for England it’s divided by 8 and for Germany it’s divided by 7.
  5. If Dortmund and Freiburg both go out then the maximum points they can get will be 2.717 Leverkusen - 0.429 + 0.429 + 0.429 + 0.286 = 1.573 Bayern - 0.429 + 0.429 + 0.286 = 1.144 That would put them on 18.217. Very gettable
  6. First result in our favour. I am sure there will be a few surprises this week. I can see one of us, Dortumund or West Ham losing and exiting. Very rarely all the favourites go through in knockout football.
  7. This year I don’t think we have lost 2 in a row in the league. That could change on Sunday of course.
  8. Just looked at Man Utd fixtures. They are pretty tough. Next 3 are Brentford, Chelsea away and Liverpool at home. They’ve only really got Burnley at home which is a banker. The rest are pretty difficult. If I was to guess and be really optimistic for them. Brentford (a) - W Chelsea (a) - D Liverpool (h) - D Bournemouth (a) - W Newcastle (h) - W Burnley (h) - W Palace (a) - W Arsenal (h) - D Brighton (a) - D That would be 19 points for them on the uber optimistic side I would say. That would put them on 66 points. We would only need 11/12 points therefore.
  9. Yup. Their easiest two games are their last two games. We need to have a cushion of 3 points at least at that stage.
  10. Still a long way to go. We’ve got two winnable games coming up and we don’t need this negativity. It’s going to be tough without McGinn no doubt. If we can somehow pick up 4 points from these next 3 games then that will put is in a decent position with McGinn and Ramsey both being back.
  11. Regardless it can’t happen because the only English teams left in the UCL are in the top 3 and won’t be budging from there
  12. Yup if that happens then the likelihood is we have 3 teams left and Germany have 4. Each win for them is worth more than our wins. You’ve then got a potential 3 games per club so not a lot of time to make up any point differences.
  13. I was sat right behind it. He just kicked him because he got annoyed Diaby let him walk past him. I think he was trying to show some intensity and he went too far. Was it a red? Probably not. Will it be overturned? No way.
  14. No choice ennit.
  15. Yup included. So 2 points for a win i.e. 0.25 for England and 1 point for progression i.e. 0.125.
  16. The more German teams that go out the better regardless of us, City and Liverpool being favourites. You never know in tournament football what will happen. Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen are likely to go quite far in their respective competitions. Therefore, we really need Freiburg and Dortmund to exit and make sure we have at least 1 or 2 more teams than that left who are picking up points. This week’s games to look out for UCL Arsenal v Porto (0-1) - If Arsenal win then that is 0.375 to our points total Dortumund v PSV (1-1) - you would expect Dortmund to win that and go through - 0.429 for their total UEL West Ham v Freiburg (0-1) - as per Arsenal - 0.375 Bayer Leverkusen v Qarabag (2-2) - as per Dortmund - 0.429 Brighton v Roma (0-4) - Brighton are out but if they can win the tie at least then it will be 0.25 for our total Liverpool v Sparta Prague (5-1) - as per the above 0.375 UECL Aston Villa v Ajax (0-0) - as per the above 0.375 That would leave the following Germany - 16.358 England - 16.375
  17. Yup spot on. We really need to get 4 points as a minimum out of these next 3 games imo. Brentford Chelsea and Liverpool in their next 3 games. They could conceivably get only 1 or 2 points out of those games. We are all Arsenal and West Ham fans Tuesday and Thursday.
  18. Let’s stop this defeatist attitude. People said the same about missing out on the UECL last year and look how we have done.
  19. I’m only messing. We all know we are doing well. We just need to stay there
  20. Shame we can’t morph into that league. It’s a useless stat…
  21. Went to watch last night with the wife. Absolutely loved the first 2 hours of it. Unfortunately we then got a call that the youngest was not feeling well and had to go home. Guess I will have to wait for it to stream or go again when I get a chance.
  22. Lot of football yet to play. We could easily win next week and Spurs lose to Fulham. However, losing McGinn is the kicker. We’ve got no one like him. We needed him for these next two games especially.
  23. I mean BDS and protesting are two very real things that can be done
