  1. Very good with the ball. Lots of work to do and learn when he hasn’t got the ball. A few times second half he seemed to be just jogging back to cover and left himself too much to do when he got there. I’m sure it will come.

So my daughters boyfriend (age 19) comes from a Villa family but has been a Man United fan since childhood, as per many many from his generation.

Anyway he's now decided to ditch United and announced himself a Villa Fan.

Putting aside if we actually want a fan like that, it's a great illustration of where we are.

For years we've lost so many fans like that to the Sky 4 /6.  They've sucked away what would be our fans due to their "celebrity" status coupled with our poor state.

So I think we could be at a watershed here. Stop hemorrhaging fans to celebrity clubs, because we're actually becoming one and also maybe attracting new fans elsewhere in The UK and around the world.

Make no mistake, if our trajectory continues and especially if we can cement Champions League and for a few years we WILL attract plastics.

Imagine some dad in Stockport or somewhere devastated because his sons decided he's a Villa Fan and wants a McGinn shirt for Christmas.

It's going to be a bumpy ride for many die hard Villa fans 😂

That’ll do me because I am a Villa dad in Stockport who’s eldest is now 19 and has been a Villa fan all his life. Be nice to have another up here to celebrate with after all the crap he’s had to endure. The tide is changing.

  3. He’s developing a really good team spirit along with his tactical nous. It’s moving forward in a way I’ve not seen for a long while and I’ve been watching Villa for 47 years.

  4. Leon Bailey, Leon Bailey, Leon Bailey MOM. After all the ne sayers on here knocking him he tried his hardest in all those games. Tonight match winner 1 goal and 1 assist. Don’t slag players off when they lose a bit of form. Back them and they’ll come through for you.

  5. IMO he’s doing a job up top with Watkins, and between them they are closing down the opposition well. Think he’s more effective in a wide role and if we get a striker I think that’s where he’ll play most games for us.

He got injured when taken out by the halfway line. Not the second stoppage just before half time.

According to the idiot Hinchcliffe on Sky Sports it was a fair challenge as the Manure player challenged from behind. Idiot.

  7. If he goes he goes with my thanks. He was integral in getting us up and staying up. The level of player we need has gone up so it’s a natural time for him to leave and hopefully enjoy his career. Thank you.
