  1. The Universities in the US. The driving of identity politics. Trans in womens sports. Coordinated cancel culture. DEI hiring based on race. You find plenty of extremes in there.
  2. It wasn't a real insurrection. It was a bunch the the lunatic mob incited by Trumps lies to essentially riot. Excluding Trump from this election would be incredibly damaging for the US. Half the population or so want him as president and the division that barring him from running would do is more significant than him winning and being barred by the two term limits from running again in 4 years time. While if he loses to Biden a 2bd time then the Republican party will surely stop tying to get him elected having lost twice and barely winning the original time. Either way the future needs to be mending the wounds not further division
  3. Left and Right both gone insane it appears when compared to "traditional" ie 1990/2000s. I still do wonder how much of that is really true though. It's certainly true for the loudest and on social media. I think there are still lots of sensible people still who are silent. Liberal democracy means tolerance for others views however much you disagree with them.
  4. It's the team slow unbearable downhill demise from the back to back wins over City and Arsenal that's broken me. The loss at Old Trafford from 2-0 up and I knew, this is the moment we'll look back on where it all unravelled It's been that unravelling slowly but surely that's just unbearable. It's just an inevitable event we have to live through. Slow painful death basically I used to be very positive. But sometimes you just know what's going to happen and when it eventually comes to pass. Being mid table all season is beyond better than being a win away from top of League at Christmas and then collapsing to 6th.
  5. Without replying to everyone who quoted me. I said how bad a draw it was and the stats people would show that whenever they tweeted their numbers. They have. It's as bad as a draw gets. If we didn't have a side collapsing entirely, injury and form and the embarrassment of turning Villa Park into th opposite of a fortress. We would all be confident There's nothing to be confident about. Throwing away Champions League from the position we were in before Christmas is unbearable to think about. Just soul destroying stuff
  6. As I said earlier. Disaster draw for English. Probably not even possible to hand pick a worse draw. A better draw would have made it 90%+ We just needed any shred of **** luck. The entire year 2024 has been terrible so far.
  7. Yeah not bad as guarantees a finalist. It's more the head to head match ups England Vs Germany which are bad. Like 6 pointers basically.
  8. So who would have been an easier draw for Dortmund? Arsenal, Madrid, City, Bayern, PSG?
  9. Whoever does these probabilities will show the draw has been bad for Englands chances of extra place and good for Germany. Dortmund easy draw. Bayern and Leverkusen can knock out Arsenal and West Ham and effectively seal the extra place for Germany.
  10. Why? Leverkusen can knock West Ham out. We prefer having easier draw for West Ham rather than direct match ups. Leverkusen Vs Liverpool is good for PL as Liverpool should knock them out. We want West Ham Vs Atalanta or something team they can beat
  11. West Ham got Leverkusen haha why can't we just get any **** luck with this
  12. City Madrid ffs that is a bad situation if City get dumped out. Dortmund got the easiest draw too
  13. Hence me saying the rescheduled game. Ie they will win the game in hand. It's not like Spurs game in hand who are away to Chelsea
  14. Yes who will be 5 points behind us again as they'll win their rescheduled fixture at home to Burnley. They are only 8 points behind us at the moment
  15. Yes my point is you get an opportunity to get into Champions League and if you grab it then amazing but don't be expecting the chance to be there for you the next season. Look at Newcastle and Leicester. The season after getting or just failing to get 4th. If we don't get it now, we have to make a big sale for FFP next season and we know United will be better, Spurs are going the right way. Next season will be much much more difficult and the moment will be gone. So for me this is the do or die moment for the club. We need the finances from CL we need the leap forward it can bring us and we need it now
  16. Plus we have tougher games than them. We will likely get nothing from City and Arsenal. While United have tough games but at Old Trafford like Liverpool. Add in our European games and a squad that's falling to injury, suspension, everything to get us down to bare bones. The final factor is pressure. We've cracked in the key games this year at Villa Park. The pressure will be a telling factor in the run in too. If we lose to West Ham I think this goes to final day where we need to win at Palace to secure 5th. For me the sliding doors moment is on us. We get CL and it is a boost in every respect for the clubs future. We fail to get it we then absolutely have to sell a Douglas Luiz type player for staying in FFP and Top 5 next year is a mountain for us, look at Newcastle
  17. If we lose to West Ham and they win I'd say they'll get 5th
  18. Dortmund and they are already ahead of us in points. Plus all points we get are divided by 8 and points they get are divided by 7 so the points they get are worth more
  19. They don't need to win it. Just keep progressing and getting Germany the points to get the CL place
  20. That's a bad bad goal for the extra CL spot. Leverkusen have saved Germanys chances and given them a 50:50 shot now with England.
  21. Spurs deserve it. We had our chances to show our worth when the heat was on. We failed, completely and repeatedly so and we should accept the consolation prize we end up with.
  22. It's very simple. We don't deserve to qualify for the Champions League. When it has come to the crunch home games this year we've failed. Not even managed to get draws and Sunday was the biggest most damaging failure of the lot.
  23. We are getting good at losing a lot of games at Villa Park.
  24. Yeah we don't do losses. Always need to lose a player too, Red card or ACL or whatever
