  1. Unanimous decision signed by all nine on the Supreme Court.
  2. If they collapse and finish 5th they are even then still likely to get champions league via the extra spot so that might be why their odds of missing out all together are so high?
  3. Haaland from 6 yards out though
  4. They need good news right now. They have been moved off the front page.
  5. Yes, I don’t necessarily believe all these numbers. Russian bloggers have acknowledged some of them whilst disputing others, but something out of the ordinary has been going on recently.
  6. It might be coincidence but the run of downed planes did start with an A-50 (and they have subsequently lost a second, when they supposedly only had 3 operational). I don’t know the ins and outs but that loss of radar coverage could be giving Ukraine an advantage when targeting jets?
  7. His teammates were yelling at him and pointing him in different directions all through his time in the second half so it seems like he’s not up to speed on where he should be and what to do when out of possession. Presumably Emery thought it was a comfortable match to give him minutes in, which the first half was, but he’ll need more time on the training pitch before he can slot in in a match where we’re under pressure.
  8. He should have been booked for the cynical kick out on the foul before his booking. His performance was not on the ref. He just has some learning to do but looks like he has potential.
  9. It feels like he’s lost a yard of pace since returning from injury and that was his biggest asset.
  10. Enjoyed watching his celebration when Digne nodded his cross home.
  11. He was struggling to find his positioning and was being bypassed constantly so it was right to bring him off but was also unlucky to have a good shot saved, so there is definitely something to work with there. Needs more time on the training ground learning our system first though.
  12. It’s been the wide play that was the main problem. Rogers was not understanding where he is supposed to be and was being bypassed with ease. Not surprisingly he was subbed back off again.
  13. Rogers doesn’t know his position in the system yet. We’re getting murdered down the right over and over.
  14. Probably Emery’s team that have sent this data to the Birmingham Mail to encourage them to write this article.
  15. It sounds like they have bought some of the consoles through the black market, not being supplied to them like was claimed. It seems Starlink can’t switch off the satellites running those consoles without it also stopping service to the Ukrainian soldiers using them as well.
  16. I think the 58.5 is his time with us (his second highest ratio in his career) so one more win might make it 60% for his time with us.
  17. There are supposedly some stats from YouGov in this essay: https://religionmediacentre.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/How-faith-communities-vote-in-UK-elections.pdf
  18. I wonder if the public at large are also somewhat sympathetic to a bit of Islamophobia in a way that would not be tolerated for other groups?
  19. I didn’t realise we were considering whether Chelsea ‘bottled it’ (I hate that term anyway). I was thinking more along the lines of it being impressive to fill out your squad with players stepping up from the youth system when you have a lot of injuries to key players from your first team and then still winning a trophy against a very expensively assembled squad.
  20. That’s not unusual for the Premier League though is it? For example if Iroegbunam, Feeney or Kellyman were to step into our first team squad and contribute to winning a trophy we would be praising Emery’s development of them as players and integration of them into our system. We wouldn’t be trying to play down the managers role and instead be crediting West Brom, Fleetwood Town and Derby.
  21. When you consider that Chelsea spent billion pounds to assemble that side while Liverpool’s young players came through their youth system it’s not as clear cut that Liverpool *should* win that match. They are however better coached and better run as a club than Chelsea and that is why they won.
  22. Their Champions League form was built on their defence last season. What is the reason for the loss of form this season? Is it Pope being injured or the disruption to their midfield perhaps?
  23. It’s the substitutions bench which was young. They have a lot of key injuries and so had to fill out their bench with youth players who were then needed because the match went to extra time. I know no one wants to say anything congratulatory about Liverpool but it’s quite impressive beating Chelsea in the cup final with a makeshift squad. We couldn’t beat them in the FA Cup over two legs and with fewer injuries.
