Personally I'd drop Phuket off the list, never liked the place, way too many rip off artists in the tourist areas. Kanchanaburi is my favourite place in Thailand, beautiful place with loads to do by day, and more than enough bars to enjoy by night... Great place to stay for 2-3 days. I've just got back today from a three day motorbike trip to Trat / Koh Chang , it was the first time I'd ever been there and loved it, we stayed in the White Sands area, if it's nightlife you want then you'll love it there. But sounds like your mates already know the crack out there, so my advice would be to follow them and keep your eyes and ears open, and your wits about you.

I'm not expecting anything from the Swansea game, in fact I expect nothing from any game at the moment and have felt that way for some time, watching Villa is a painful chore and one that I'd rather do without in my life, but come kick off time I can't help but switch on and put myself through it. The squad we have is imo worth a lot more points than Sherwood has squeezed out of them, the guy is clearly out of his depth and needs to be sacked as soon as possible, if that means another loss tomorrow, then great, I welcome that with brass bells on.

We'll get battered, anything less than that will be a bonus.

I'm tired of planning my Saturday evenings around the let down of a Villa team. I have to wait until 9pm at the earliest to watch this shower of s***e week in week out let me down time and time again. Not this weekend tho, I'm off out on the razzle dazzle and won't give two monkeys what happens to them. That said, the next morning when I wake up hungover, I'll no doubt sigh when I look to see the scoreline and find out that we've lost again. The TV engineers round our way are clueless and don't want to touch it, so my missus rang up LG Support here in Thailand in the end, and they're saying because I bought the TV in the UK, the parts needed could well be different, and probably unavailable. So, I'm waiting for a service engineer from LG to contact us to arrange an appointment to come to our house and look at the TV, because he's coming from Bangkok we've got to pay 300 baht (about six quid) for his petrol, lol! The only problem with this is I could be waiting for weeks for the guy to turn up, Thai's are not renowned for their urgency or time keeping. So, I'm using my Samsung DVD player with USB port for now to watch my stuff, the only problem with my player is any new films with the Cinavia copyright thing on them pops up, which is a pain in the arse as my TV didn't do that. I'll have to use my laptop to play those movies.
