  1. City are doing well because of Pep. Chelsea have spent billions and are average Man Utd have spent billions and are average Liverpool doing well because of Klopp Arsenal doing well at the moment is it sustainable. Spurs a bit like us. Newcastle a bit like us Brighton punching above their weight I would back Unai to mold us into champions if allowed it would not take billions. He just needs to able to keep his best players and add one or two. Money only gets you so far its the infrastructure and team behind the scenes that propels clubs forward. The fact its not a level playing field needs to be looked at. It never will be with oil states but clubs should be able to grow somehow. Current rules protect those clubs that benefitted prior to the rules coming in.
  2. Van Persies volley against us. Goal of the season miles offside not on there!

    Unai Emery

It's a concentration thing I think when he speaks English would need to see if its the same when he speaks Spanish. Love him more and more each day!
  4. Like I say they need to have the deductions in black and white sliding scale. If a club is happy to risk the points deduction so be it. There needs to be a way to allow spending that is not saddling a club with debt. Its not a level playing field.
  5. I think the logic is the existing 10 point reduction gets reduced to 5 but they get another 5 point deduction with Forest for the new breaches. So 10 points in total for Everton.
  6. The points deduction needs clarity no appeals and everyone understanding what happens when you break the rules. I also think if you get hit with the deduction your FFP balance should reset to the limit. That way you are not punished twice by having to balance the books. Now again this comes back to clarity and a sliding scale of points depending on how much you go over in the 3 year period. Clubs could gamble and take the hit to build a team but that's on them.
  7. Would you say other stadium income is in there too? NFL Concerts and so on? We try that in the summer months but Spurs have it all year round.
  8. Still just polishing a turd. Then rolling it in glitter!
  9. The Ticket office is a great example there to be fair. Never open to the public apart from match days. Forcing you to spend hours on the phone then shutting the phone lines down for lunch. Amateur Hour!

It says faceapp in the bottom of the photo with the dodgy hair! Nothing to worry about obvious fake. Still a suave gentleman.
  11. I heard he was getting a load of racist abuse from some narrow minded fans so probably the reason.
  12. Yeah but when you can pull all the best looking birds why bother with the mingers? Pep only had experience of the B Team at Barca then did what he did with the first team. Could have tanked but has just kept winning things at top clubs with big funds. He has not had to step down a level yet like say Mourinho has. There might come a time when he can only get a lower level club and we will see if he has the minerals. I doubt he will bother though probably retire to the UAE.
  13. We have our backs against the wall now but it's still a fantastic position to be in. We need that siege mentality as fans to get behind the boys not give up on them. All to play for under the best manager we have had since Saunders. To quote Ron "do you want to bet against us?"
  14. Kessie surplus to requirements at Barca deal to be done.
  15. He walked off the pitch and down the tunnel to me that means it can't be as bad as Mings so I am hopeful he will be back sooner.
  16. They are consistently shit that's the issue you would think they had learnt their lesson by now. Stockley Park should judge everything the same but it does not depends on the shirt and that is the issue.
  17. If true its a massive chance for Tim to step up. Sink or swim could be the making of the kid.
  18. Nice round of boos when he appeared on the screens at Villa Park today.
  19. On the train back home after the game. Best we have played in a while. We missed our chances but we created plenty. They might have won but I look at the 2 teams and my money is on our style of play to get more points than theirs. It's a kick in the nads to lose that one but I am more confident now than I was after the Newcastle and Chelsea games where we were 2nd best. Still loads of games to go do you want to bet against us?
  20. Homegrown/academy players don't count in the 25 I believe?
  21. Graham Potter Eddie Howe Jose Mourinho Jurgen Klopp My Dead Nans Ashes Anyone really he has had his time close but no cigar. Now one last hurrah to annoy everyone.

    Unai Emery

He does but he has not used it for some reason maybe personnel available. Take the Newcastle game for instance not great from our perspective relentless energy and press from them. Last year they played the same and we bypassed the press by going long and put in one of our best performances under Unai. Whatever the reasons you have to trust the manager knows what he is doing under the bigger picture his record tells us this. We all have a moan in different ways when we lose its football even if we are losing during a game see match threads for this! Unai is a victim of his own success we are ahead of expectations now he needs to manage those expectations and I think he will.

1st goal is key to us at the moment need to start fast Sunday.
  24. He misses Ramsey at the moment doing it all on his own. Once Ramsey is back on the left that side will improve.
  25. Don't matter what any of us think it's what The Don wants. If he sees him as another piece of the Jigsaw that takes us to the next level then so be it. Those low block teams we struggle against it's about moving them about to get the gaps to score. In Unai we trust.
