  1. I was worried it would delete my account due to playing on the APK download but it has been fine so far. Really enjoying it but the servers have been a bit iffy since it was launched on the app store...
  2. I went to see the new 'Ghostbusters' film yesterday. I wasn't willing to pay to go and see the film, yet I managed to win free tickets through O2 Priority. I had no intention of seeing the film because the trailers looked so awful. It turns out that the film itself is on the same poor level as the trailers. Stuck in the shadow of the original films and you can tell from the moment the film gets going. I can count the amount of times I laughed throughout the film on one hand and that's being generous. The rest of the people in the screening seemed to feel the same way, as there were few laughs throughout the duration of the film. Some of the CGI was good but on the whole it wasn't anything spectacular. The new Ghostbusters themselves seemed to have decent chemistry too but the poor script let them down. The jokes just seemed to fall flat at every turn. Not sure how this is getting any positive reviews to be honest. It's dull...
  3. Adama is one of those players that can change the game in the blink of an eye. He is a raw talent with bags of pace and great upper body strength. That's not to say he is perfect, as he is far from it. He holds onto the ball for too long and lacks that bit of quality that comes from experience and good coaching. That's why this season will be make or break form Adama in my opinion. If our coaching staff can get the best out of him then we will have one hell of a player on our hands. If not then we can let him go next summer. I really don't see the logic in letting him go right now though. Despite his flaws he is a very promising player and he could play a big part in getting us promoted. Let's just hope we can keep hold of him and that he can stay fit...
  4. Baffles me seeing Newcastle that far ahead. Are they really THAT good?! I don't see it myself. Obviously they will be favourites with Benitez at the helm and given quality of some of their players. They are still a very average side though and I wouldn't say we are miles behind them, despite those odds indicating otherwise...
  5. I would love to keep Grealish here. His attitude needs to change though and he needs to put football first. He could play a big role in getting us promoted if we manage to keep him, as he certainly has the talent. Di Matteo just needs to knock some sense into him. If it comes to the worst and we end up selling him then we would be silly to take less than £10 million. He has the potential to be a quality player. Whether or not he will ever reach his full potential is pretty much down to him.
  6. I am concerned that we may be stuck with some of the players we really need to get rid of. Di Matteo has a tough job on his hands, as he will need to work with the players we already have and also bring in players that will work with them. The links to the likes of Gayle and Bamford are promising and hopefully we can get one of them. We are certainly lacking upfront and that is the first thing that needs to be looked at. I would like to see us looking at some pacey wingers too. It's important we address all of the issues asap, as we need to hit the ground running...
  7. Currently playing 'Overwatch'. I have pumped in around 30 hours since launch and am still enjoying it.
  8. I've just joined. Pretty tough setting up a team with that budget, yet it should be a good bit of fun.
  9. Just back from seeing 'The Wolf of Wall Street'. I really enjoyed it and thought the story was gripping. There were very slight pacing issues in the last hour for me, yet it was solid overall. DiCaprio deserves an Oscar nod without a doubt as he carried the film on his back at times. Well worth seeing.
  10. I've got the PS4, Vita, 360 (still holding onto it for now), Wii U and PC so am looking forward to a year full of games ahead. I'm looking forward to playing the following games (hopefully all released in 2014): Watch Dogs (PS4) Infamous: Second Son (PS4) Mario Kart 8 (Wii U) Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze (Wii U) Kingdom Hearts 3 (PS4) Rime (PS4) Pillars of Eternity (PC) Zelda U (Wii U) The Witcher 3 (PC or PS4) Destiny (PS4) Dragon Age: Inquisition (PS4) WoW: Warlords of Draenor (PC) I probably won't be able to afford half of them but I'm excited about them all. There are other games too that just missed out on the list, plus some of these ones may be pushed back to 2015. Good gaming years ahead though judging by the games cominout. Colour me excited!
  11. Looking forward to seeing 'American Hustle' on Friday. Although I'm more excited about 'The Wolf of Wall Street' and 'Her' to be honest. All of them look good to me. On another note, have any of you seen 'Short Term 12' yet? It had a limited release in the UK, yet they are rolling it out to more cinemas in January from the looks of things. Anyway, if you haven't seen it then I highly recommend checking it out.
  12. I got BF4 and LEGO Marvel for Christmas so I think my next few months of gaming are pretty much sorted now. I still need to finish Killzone and FIFA will last me a while...
  13. I've now got a Wii U and am really enjoying it so far. I love the controller and it's nice to have a change from the PS4 (although I'm sure that will eat up most of my gaming time). You can't go wrong with some good old Mario and Zelda gaming though. Plus there are new Zelda, Mario Kart, Super Smash Bros and Donkey Kong games coming in the future.
  14. 'Drive' is perfection as far as I'm concerned. Great soundtrack, stunning visuals and Gosling on form. Although I can see why some people may not like it as it isn't exactly a fast paced film...
  15. Thinking of blasting through KZ this coming week and trading it in too. Should I trade it for BF4 or AC4? I can't make my mind up... On another note, I'm loving Resogun. DCUO is decent too, although I'm not really in an MMO mood at the moment.
  16. FIFA in a bit? Sounds good to me. Sorry for the late reply. If you aren't on now and fancy Fifa over the weekend then I'm in all day Sunday. I've been playing Resogun too and it's great fun. So simple, yet so stunning and easy to get into.
  17. Right, my username on there is UTV_1982 so feel free to add me.
  18. Just got in from work and I've hooked up my lovely new PS4. It looks even better than I remember at SDCC. The onky issue I'm having so far is that I can't get onto the PSN, which is a bit of a shame. I'll be playing Fifa and KZ anyway if anyone fancies games jn the future. My username is still the same as it was from my PS3 (which I've forgotten). I'll post it in here later though... On another note, it's a shame that the camera doesn't come in a box in the mega bundle. Do you think I would still be able to sell it for a good price to somewhere like CEX without the box? The idea was to sell it to them and get BF4.
  19. Well, battery life is important to me too and the LG G2 is better in that department. I like the fact that the bezel is so slim on the LG G2 and the screen size too. I think it's well worth the extra for those things alone but there is no doubt that people will be happy with the Nexus 5. I just think the LG G2 is a superior phone, as you would expect given the price difference.
  20. I went to see an advance screening of 'Gravity' the other night at the IMAX in 3D. I'm not usually a fan of 3D but it actually makes the film look even more stunning in this case. Go and see it on the biggest screen you can find too as it really needs to be seen in a cinema. Bullock was very good in it and it's nice to see something original coming out of Hollywood for a change. I also went to see 'Thor: The Dark World' and think that was good too. I personally enjoyed it more than the first film and think the tone was spot on once again. Plus the first post-credits scene had me smiling away. I was hoping to see 'Short Term 12' this weekend too, yet it is only being released in a few cinemas across the UK. It's a shame that none of them are in a city near me. If it is being released anywhere near any of you then go and see it. It looks very good...
  21. I'm very happy I went with the LG G2 now. Apart from the proce and not being pure Android, the LG G2 blows the Nexus 5 out of the water in every departmemt. I picked it up on release day and absolutely love it. The button on the back isn't anything special but I got used to it very quickly. The screen is glorious though and the feel of the LG G2 is just brilliant. Plus the battery life has been amazing, which is a key thing for me in a phone.
  22. I haven't been on here for a while but thought I would join in on the horror discussion. I'vepersonally never been a fan of horror as such. I prefer either comedic horror films, or films with more of a psychological edge. I'm a big fan of Raimi's work for example. This includes the likes of 'Evil Dead' and 'Drag Me to Hell'. I just love the fact that they are funny and a little jumpy at the same time. Basically they don't take the horror element too seriously. As far as more psychological ones go, I would be talking about the likes of 'Psycho', 'The Shining' and 'The Devils Backbone'. Perhaps not horrors as such, yet they have that kind of feel to them.
  23. Here's mine (in no particular order): 20. Drive 19. Tell No One 18. Inception 17. A Prophet 16. The Incredibles 15. The Secret in Their Eyes 14. Untouchable 13. Donnie Darko 12. Pan's Labyrinth 11. There Will Be Blood 10. High Fidelity 9. Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon 8. Requiem For A Dream 7. Whatever Works 6. Melancholia 5. The Devil's Backbone 4. The Master 3. Black Swan 2. Sparrow 1. Avengers Assemble I've gone for a mixture of films that I like. Some have amazing cinematography, some have great acting and others are just great entertainment (one or two are pure popcorn entertainment). In the case of 'Drive' I personally think it ticks all of the boxes...
  24. I've started to go gig photography and stuff for events as I'm working for a friends company. I'm not being paid at the moment as I'm still learning and my images aren't exactly great at the moment. Anyway, I got some pictures at the Liverpool Music Awards on Sunday. Take a look at the pictures on my Flickr page if you fancy it: http://flic.kr/s/aHsjHKQBWL I've also started a new account on Twitter that I'll be using purely for photography in the future. If any of you fancy following me on there then my Twitter name is @Matt84_Creative Any feedback and tips would be much appreciated. I'm already aware that the images I took at the Liverpool Music Awards are far from perfect, yet I'm happy with some of them. The noise on a lot of them is annoying but I'll try to work on that in future.
  25. Why would anyone run Sky through their Xbox? Seems a bit pointless to me and like Microsoft are just using another gimmick in an attempt to sell their failure of a console (much like adding Fifa for free).
